Low buying prices in Melbourne on coins?

[Curious]

Been out of the mix for a good while, so thought to test the market (dealers) with a couple of coins.
Silver 1 ounce collectables only fetching couple dollars over spot
Gold 1 ounce collectable still in plastic protector (2012 Lunar Dragon) offer was below spot…
Is this usual or just a recent thing?

Yes the market has changed.
Most dealers pay below spot .
Not all a couple still do .
I pay from $2 - $10 over for silver

They then sell back for huge premium.
even perth m take them below spot.

Try selling on this forum first, you’ll get a much better price than what dealers offer.
Plenty of good members in Melbourne are active on this site.
