Large copper grades a perfect 70?

NGC says "neigh"! :lol:

Still a very respectable grade for these big coppers, IMO, which never seem to get the 69's & 70's...

1st of its kind graded by NGC.

I don't agree with the RB, as opposed to Antiqued.. But whatever.


And as always, photos don't do these high-relief medals justice.

Highly recommended!

RB - Red Brown. A coin with a mix of red luster and brown patina.

Technically it should be "Antiqued," as they use that for other medals (Ag, brass, copper) in the same vein.

It was intentionally oxidized by the mint.


I believe the RB designation should only be used when it occurs naturally.

Though given the medal is a couple years old, perhaps some of that occurred?


No biggie. Just a small technicality in this case.

This item is hand carved die as stated in coa. So not likely to get 70 lol
