Fact 1...... The U.S.A have used 25% of the worlds total oil reserves over the last 100 years all on they're own.

Fact 2..... If the U.S.A don't find more oil soon they WILL have to either start a war or pay to import more of it.

Fact 3..... Americans are V8 crazy......why don't they start downsizing to hybrids and 4 cylinder cars to start with.

BUT
If they made efficient vehicles & use more LPG ;)
BUT NO
The war machines needs us to consume more of everything :rolleyes:
Big semi's are using LPG injection for better millage , it's still an aftermarket fit , NOT fitted from the manufacturer :rolleyes:
Hybrids SUX big time , the batter technology is not green at all
 
Ye I know spanner.....Ford do have a new F 150 that has a twin turbod V6......cuts the mileage consumption in half and has the same power as the old V8.
 
Pretty awesome to see Hydrogen powered buses up here in Canada. Super quiet and seem to have loads of power (sometimes too much for a passenger bus IMO).. I thought hydrogen was meant to be the future but the uptake seems slow.
 
The uptake is slow because the oil companies and car companies are still pushing and selling oil powered products....They're making mountains of money from oil and they DO NOT want that to change anytime soon!

They're making mountains of money because they are a sh1tload cheaper than the alternatives in supplying a practical vehicle that consumers actually want in the pre-existing environment :/

We're getting closer to a tipping point (and already have in certain niche markets) and if/when that point is reached the oil companies won't be able to stop it or significantly delay it (without relying on Government violence).
 
It's great to finally see manufacturers selling fuel efficient vehicles and its a marketing edge they're all designing into their vehicles.... Volvo's new V40 diesel gets 4.2 ltrs per 100 k's now....... That unbelievable!
