Is this part silver?

I have a 1977 coin / round with the image of a person on a horse with writing: Elizabeth ll DG REG FD. On the reverse is an image of a bird and the crown jewels above it with some floral like pattern on the rest of the side. It's heavy, bigger than a 50 cent piece and has dented easily.

I don't know how to post a photo.

Any ideas what it might be?

According to http://www.24carat.co.uk/frame.php?url=1977crown.html (don't link to images from that site, they don't permit it), it's a 1977 Silver Jubilee Crown (silver as in 25 years).

The normal specimen coin is cupro-nickel, but the proof is .925 sterling with a standard crown weight of 0.84oz silver content.

I'm sure I have the cupronickel one. It's definitely not a proof. Damn.
