If a Republican wins the White House in 2016, is it logical to assume that the price of gold and silver will go up?

It's a Brave New World and political colour no longer matters. I'm surprised anyone turns out to vote in the federal elections in USA. But then again I'm expecting a USSR type collapse at some stage and a partition. It's an old empire that will shrink as China and Russia come on line. Just hope they don't blow things up as they become irrelevant.

There are a lot of very strong candidates, but it's way too early to even guess who will ultimately get the nomination.
So far, it looks like the only hope the Democrats have is Hillary Clinton, who carries so much old baggage, and is presently facing the prospect of a long summer of testimony and investigation into her secret email servers.
Her supporters will tell you that there's nothing to see here, so just move along, but the Republicans are not going to let this go away, and it will severely cripple her chances, and doom the Democrats to defeat, if they choose to stand by her. Unless some new super-star Obama-clone comes along, and excites the youth voters, with promises of an even bigger and better Inter-World Utopia.
But we tried that, and it didn't work. Besides, not even the Democrats would be dumb enough to fall for that again, would they?
I really hope Hillary does decide to run fo President it would be great fun to watch: such an interesting history, and so many secrets to explore!
But she will have to decide very soon. The rules of political fund-raising, have historically shown that "the early bird gets the worm", in terms of money and political favors.
Go Hillary!!!

Your analysis of each person is brilliantly concise and spot-on. What do you think of Ben Carson and Marco Rubio?
What are the Democrats going to do about Hillary? The Republicans are not going to let the scandal disappear, and the Democrats don't have the strength to drag such a cripple with baggage across the finish line.
And are the odds great, that the next election will be so historic, that the incumbent party of a two-term president will win the presidency a third time?
Who else is there? If Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden are the best you can do, it's time to get real busy. The fund-raising season starts soon, and the media will be restless.
