Gold Hong Kong 1000$ coins

Recently I bought from a fellow collector two gold 1000$ coins for few euros above spot price. Was that good business from me ?

i was offered an ox of same series for spot a while back and was hoping to flip it but these coins dont have a great premium. Even though they are lunar and that Hong Kong now belongs to China. But you never know you might find someone who really likes these; from what i can remember even the mintage was pretty small
 
Depends on the year ,but if gold is moving in the right direction ,I have seen them do quite well ,here is one that sold not too long ago ebay#360489001775
