Engelhard Bar (in reference to FraterArgentum's auction)

Just saw the above auction and realised I had an Engelhard in the safe:

Can anyone tell me if this has any significant value above spot, I'm pretty sure the serial number is FP not FF

Any help and info is appreciated.
 
Well FA auction price would be a good guidance...unless you want to try your luck with ebay.

Sorry I should have clarified: Just after info on rarity on these bars, how popular, history etc, not looking to sell

From my understanding it's only the poured Engelhard bars that attract a premium

They stopped being made in the late 80's
Engelhard Metals Co was one of the largest refiners of Precious Metals Silver & PGM mainly (Platinum Group Metals) in the US for many years & were instrumental in the invention of the catalytic converter.
Google them, there's LOADS of info around.
