Do you remember your first purchase

I love the heft of the first ever 10 oz buy! my wife said wow thats heavy and playfully hit me on the head with it lol You can throw them at a robber to save your gold lol

First purchase was 4 Kooks from Downies for $100
Way before Goldstackers or other online dealers ,
A couple of weeks later 3 Kooks for $100 & thats when I started searching for other outlets

My first purchase was a 1oz A-mark bell round. Its still my favourite coin.. but i accidently sold it about 2 years ago in a "random lot" :(

Fish hooks from the local Barber. Snooded they were and... they came in cellophane foil with a cardboard backing. I used them to catch Gold fish in the local river; I sold the fish to an aquarium guy, "until" he noticed holes in the lips of the fish.

Entrepreneur at age 9...something happened after that ! :D :P

I started with gold only, then realised the gains available if silver gains back what it's owed and have mostly bought silver since. My first purchase was a pretty hefty buy and I picked it up from ABC in Sydney. Mate, I felt like a superstar wearing a disguise or something, walking through the city with thousands of dollars in gold.

I wore dress clothes to my first meeting and was treated very well by the staff, which is very different to my second purchase where I wore board shorts and a singlet and was treated very differently. I was buying a couple of gold roos and a few tubes of silver roos and the woman who served me really spoke down to me like I didn't know what I was doing. I've kind of shied away from them since but who knows what was really going on, I shouldn't hold it against the company but they've missed a lot of business since due to that one purchase.

A few years back...

10x 1oz Morgan Silver Dollar bars from Bullion Bourse while I was off my dial on Oxy, after a tonsillectomy...

Since then, well over a thousand ounces of silver, a few bits of yellow stuff here and there before losing the lot in a tragic boat fire...

I don't specifically remember the first silver coins I bought. Ended up buying 70 or so, various types.

But I do remember my first large silver bar, a 1kg PM. I was instantly converted to a lover of bars. I'll never forget the feeling of the weight and actually being able to touch it, without fear of damaging it. Sold all my coins to fund more bar purchases :)
