I was just wondering what is difference between stacking 1966 50c and PreDecimals in terms of bullion value alone as I have noticed that the 1966 50c seem to sell for a better premium than the PreDecimals. I have also noticed in these forums that 1966 50c sell for 13, that makes it 39oz in comparison with Predecimals at spot taking a much longer while to move. Is there a better way to exchange fiat for the maximum amount of bullion ounces other than the 50c and PreDecimals? Any thoughts?

Not many people fall for that one nowadays. Apparently they still accept them at some 7-11s.

Perhaps that the 1966 50c is legal tender might explain their popularity as against pre-decimal.

That was my immediate thought. They're easy to recognise, there's only one year to remember and I think it's pretty much common knowledge that three of them roughly equal one ounce of pure silver.Captain Kookaburra said:

Yeah but do you know off hand the quatities of each that make up an ounce? If you honestly do, then I'm impressed.
I bet as the price of silver goes up though, the predecimals will become more favourable than they are currently. Silver is silver but a higher price is a motivator to look deeper into a source.
