just ordered what is essentially my first silver, I believe sarnia silver send them in those plastic envelopes about 2 inch square , do I need to capsulate bullion , ie rounds , eagles, phils, etc or should I buy some empty tubes,
also ive read that bullion dosent need to be handled with gloves any views guys on what I should do now ive started
 
You don't need to keep mentioning Sarnia Silver in every post...

What silver did you buy? Generally no you don't 'need' to encapsulate bullion coins and rounds but some do. For me that's more reserved for 'semi-numi' PM's like Kooks and Lunars as the cost of capsules builds up quickly. Think they cost 75c+ for Air-tite ones.

Buy some tubes, cheapest and easiest way to keep bullion safe.

only got a ccouple of rounds to start but I am trying to swap my bit of gold I own for silver

Sarnia is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and had a 2011 population of 72,366 :p
Sarnia Silver is a Guernsey(?) based PM dealer.

If it's only a few rounds I wouldn't be at all concerned. I have a heap of random rounds in a hessian sack and they seem to be doing alright.
 
Like house said tubes should be fine for those. Silver really doesn't tarnish as fast as you are lead to believe especially if it is in a tube and not being handled bare handed every single day. If you want to keep them all pretty you can order Air Tites and AirTite tubes. They will all be individually encapsulated and then stored in a tube. I have a few generic bars and rounds that I played with because I wanted to get to know the feel of silver and other then some finger prints look the same as the day I got them.
