Canadian Moose Coins Toned already

Hey all I got in on the canadian wildlife series moose group buy run by iceblue a little ago (still thanking you for your effort). When I received the coins they were perfect no milk spots even so I put them in a safe dark place and got some capsules for them. I pulled them out yesterday (maybe a week after they were perfect) to put them in the capsules and they are completely toned (will post photos once I can get my camera to take pretty pictures) was wondering if this will significantly affect resale? Also has anyone else has had a similar issue with the moose coins as none of my cougars, grizzly's or wolves have toned at all.

One last thing I'll just throw it out there if you don't like it you can throw it right back but anyone with a fondness for toned coins I would be willing to swap my toned moose for your non-toned moose :D

When i bought mine, i couldn't for the life of me see a milk spot when checking them at the shop, then suddenly a few days later at home they were covered in them. Luckily they are mostly on the Queen's side so my enjoyment of them isn't affected too much.

I read here that cloudy ammonia may help get rid of the spots, haven't tried it though.
 
Canada isn't the only mint that has those milk spots.. Someone posted one of the new high relief 1 ounce silver dragons from the Perth mint with spots on it as well.

Trust me, the milk spots on the HR dragon was nothing compared to the RCM stuff, but to be fair, I've never seen any milk spots on RCM collector coins.

Yes, mine too. I bought wolves and bear, they are all ok until now, ONLY moose, I got them only for several weeks, was ok when I just got them, after 2 weeks, at least one showing Huge milky tone, covered almost half of the coin. Awful
 
I purchased a roll of 25 of The Royal Canadian Mint Wildlife Series Moose out of a monster box & almost half of them were ruined with milk spots.
I will no longer pay premium prices for low quality bullion, I'm through with The Royal Canadian Mint's products.
 
To clarify they have none to very minimal milk spots but are completely toned I will hold them for now as I got them close to spot and just try to replace with nice new ones and make sure I have capsule waiting for them when they arrive I suppose

You shouldn't try to lick off the milk spots, it'll definitely leave a bad taste in your mouth.

PS, these are not premium coins and you shouldn't be paying any or much premium over maples/silver eagles for these coins.

Agree with not paying much of a premium on these which is why I got them now when they were newly released hopefully in future people will pay a premium like they are with the grizzlies and the wolves if not will be able to sell as bullion plus 5-10% I suppose so not much downside for some good upside IMO

In my efforts cloudy ammonia did not work
 
You guys are having bad luck.
My fingers and toes are crossed as none of my Wildlife series have developed tones or spots. Maybe your environment is causing a problem. Smoke, air-borne chemicals, hairspray, insecticides, wet babies nappies, bad breath ?..

E-ZEST contains an acid which worries me as it can really stuff up the coin. I tried MS70 - no luck. I know there was a Video out showing great results with ammonia, erasers and jewelry wipes. The jewelry wipes scratch as does the eraser. Ammonia does not work.

The Canadian mint must get their act together. Their argument that this is a bullion coin and milk spots don't matter is getting long in the tooth.

$3 to $4 over spot qualifies as something more than generic, :rolleyes: and their maples are just as bad. :/
You can spend your money on flawed bullion if you like, I choose not to. ;)
