Some years ago I picked up this sovereign holder.
I’ve not seen another like it. Has anyone else?
It appears old and made of brass. It is spring loaded and accepts 25 full Sovereigns.
It has a side cut out that is graduated in lots from 5 to 25.
I assume this might be a bank tellers Sovereign holder from the days when Sovereigns were circulating currency.
If you think you know what this is and how old it might be, I’d love to hear...
