Morning,

This came off another forum. I had heard about the powder before and forgotten - apparently its still happening?

"I'm in China. Chinese citizens are buying as much milk powder and physical gold as they can get.

It is forbidden to take gold and silver out of China, so I won't be buying any silver panda coins.

If they get caught taking more than 1.8kg of milk powder out of Hong Kong, it is a 500,000RMB fine and 2 years jail."


Crikey, if you get jail for milk powder, what the hell do the do if you bring a cow out? :)

It was started from 'fabricated' milk happened in China.
People raised a concern esp those families who have newborns.
I read an article not long ago, there was a frenzy online buy on baby formula and you can sell double price in China.

Yep some "manufactured" milk had melamine powder in it
 
Hehehe. Guess they can fake everything.

Careful of fake drugs from China though. Will probably end up killing you!
