Advice removing stickers from cases

Hi

I have just purchased a holey dollar and dump and on the 1989 case is a couple of stickers that if I try to remove will damage the case. Any suggestions how I might remove them?
 
The outer cardboard or the inner part that contains the d&d? Moist cloth, some light rubbing and then a quick patting with a dry towel should do the trick. Mmm
 
If you take it out of its case... odds are you'll drop it.

Do u really need to get at it?
 
No, sorry I am not explaining myself.

I have a 1989 RAM holey dollar and dump. It is in a presentation case thing. the goods themselves are in a plastic capsule and that sits inside the case. The inside of the case is black velvet type stuff and the outside is first of metal and then covered in a material (white) with an overlay I guess of grey plastic/rubbery substance. The front of this grey material has a gold imprint of the coat of arms on it. It also has these crappy stickers. If I try to take these sticker off, the grey stuff comes up with the sticker leaving the white underlay of the material used........kinda like pu leather.......
 
Not sure if it would help, but you can buy label remover spray. But I dont know what effect it will have on the rest of the case and grey material.
 
Never tried this so unable to comment but I heard that lighter fuel, e.g. fuel used in zippo products works a treat at removing labels. Guess it is a highly volatile solvent, water free that is also used by artists diluting oil paints etc. A tin is probably $2 and sold by tobacco sellers.
 
Eucalytus oil but don't know the effects on whatever the case is made of.

There is a product called un-du, it's distributed by timbermate who sell wood putty to hardware stores

It was demonstrated to me over 15 years ago. The sales rep had some gaffa tape stuck to a tissue, a few drops of the product and it pealed off, a few seconds later once the product dried the gaffa tape was like it had never been used and the tissue was in one piece

Thanks everyone for the advice.

I ended up using a sponge with some warm soapy water to remove the top layer of paper from the sticker, then once the paper from the sticker was gone I used eucalytus oil to get the sticky goo off. Came up nice. Thanks again all.
