2016 Berlin WMF Coloured Kookaburra

Had a request for images of this one that was for sale at the show. One that the Perth Mint traditionally does for most shows. One ounce as usual. The show seemed a little subdued this year so I'd imagine the mint has mintage left over to sell.

Hi AgAuNEWs,

If you would have read my hints about new the new Australian Kangaroo 2016 2oz Silver High Relief Antiqued Coin more carefully you would have recovered that much earlier. ;)
And in the thread about the Kookaburras picture/Image Thead I have unvealed it already on 4th Feb.

Never mind, next time you become first :)

I'm bound by embargo as we get up front info from the Perth Mint and can't and won't publish images early. Trust me, we saw this and the antique quite some time ago and have already seen the April release run, let alone the March one. We fully respect the embargo placed on coin information given to us, even if it leaks elsewhere first. AgAuNEWS couldn't exist without the trust of the mints and I like to thinkreaders will appreciate that and the benefits it can bring.

The coloring looks superb...I actually prefer it over the standard Kook. Did thee PM do the coloring application or some third party applied the color? I'm going to assume the PM did it.

I like it!

Thanks. I must admit its very difficult to get good images at the show through the cabinets. Some are filled with dust, finger-prints etc, and its extremely difficult when its busy to get them to pull coins out. I took a Canon dslr and a macro lens and failed miserably. Turned out the phone on my Galaxy Note Edge was far superior, very annoying to find out after lugging 2kg of camera around all day.

I'll have some images of the Scottsdale Viking coins up on site later taken with the phone as an example. Pity I discovered the phone camera too late to take more images with it.

Talking about leaked pictures. Is there a picture of the Perth 2 oz silver Odin coin floating around somewhere?

I took the pic with my Samsung 6edge. It is indeed much lighter than 2k. :)
Unfortunately I forgot to ask taking out the coin of the cabinet for the pic.

@mmissinglink
The coloured coin is a genuine PM coin. But I do not know if colouring is made in house.
Just ask the PM blog ;)
