1934-35 MELBOURNE CENTENARY Florins are getting up there here is a prime example @$741 eBay: 320831369914.

They have not gone up much at all

This is the normal price for a 1934-35 MELBOURNE CENTENARY Florin accompanied with a Foy & Gibson bag. The thing is you dont see many being sold as they are incredibly scarce - hence the addtional $400 smackers.

I saw a gEF for $350 today at Wynyard Coin Centre.

$350 is the going price in the EF grade.. i have not noted much price appreciation on these in the last 5 years TBH

I've never encountered the Foy & Gibson bag before. Seems like a massive additional premium for a paper envelope!

I think I'd happily have the 1935 Florin by itself and pay half the price!

Your absolutley right.. it effectively doubles the price.

Analogy ... most kids pulled there star war figures out of the packaging and played with them.. for they are toys.. those that didnt have toys worth many multiples of the uncarded equivilant.

Its the same principle i guess.
