Why meet at a police station instead of a bullion dealer? Just asking as I'm genuinely curious.

I noticed that Christopher is new to silver stackers with no trading history, it's also a large trade, and he's only sent pics of docs and not the actual item. I figure that most members here would be very cautious doing a cash deal in these circumstances, and thought that doing the deal in a secure location may alleviate some concerns.

Also, if you do the trade at some bullion dealers, you can get the bullion checked with an xrf/precious metal verifier. Even if they charge a small fee, it’s worth the piece of mind especially for high value purchases

I thought silver staker wold be a fair platform where the seller and buyer could be winners by cutting out the middle men and a fair price would always be spot price.
It would seem there is a lot of distrust going on this site. I am a believer in good Karma and fairness is my motto greed kill real prosperity

We don't live in perfect world, my friend... yes, we like to deal here to eliminate overheads, especially from fee-Bay. Also, it's just using your 6th-sense to deal with cash, not just here but everywhere. Your status just give everyone alarm bells as well as non-actual pics of the item that you're selling....

Please don't be discouraged, this forum works well for most ppl and, thus, we hv lots of well-Known members constantly making transactions...

Hi Christopher :)

You have to look at this from not only the buyers perspective, but also your own.

4k is a lot of cash, for most people, so you want to be sure that the person you're meeting isn't out to rob you.

But with said, I'd also be cautious yourself. If you're going to meet face to face with someone. Firstly make sure it's a well known member with a good history, and meet somewhere public. Remember you'll be carrying around a 4k lump of metal :)

And sadly there are cases of people on here who have stolen from other members. Just a sad fact of life.

Cheers

Hi Christoper and welcome to the forum. I was new here once too and it takes a few buys or sales before you can gain trust, it's not about you, it is the way it mostly works here.

On my first lot of sales I had to send 5 $200 Gold koalas to a reputable member here first before payment. Once he assessed the items and confirmed they were real and as described he paid me the amount we agreed upon. I ended up messaging this person after the sale on other unrelated matters and we became online mates. In fact I ended up buying a lot of silver from him.

So don't worry, this is a great forum and if you stick around after your sale you will see for yourself. Who knows, you might come back and get some great deals yourself. If you do end up having to send first before payment, just check to see the buyer has several positive feedbacks on this website first. Some say it should be at least 50 or more positive feedbacks but if you want to you can choose less as it is up to you really. Anyhow all the best with your sales, cheers.
