    Greece update

This has dropped of the news radar of late but in summary - still in the poo: http://www.news.com.au/business/breaking-news/greece-in-talks-to-resolve-budget-problem/story-e6frfkur-1226763075668

Australian economy gains 1,100 jobs in May, jobless rate flat at 5.5%

I think the amount of people retiring and dying might counteract that somewhat - especially given the imminent wave of retirees.

    Something a bit different.....

Or convince the Mrs that world war III is imminent and it would double up as a bomb shelter. Paranoia - selling shit since for ever.

Legal tender gold coins and currency ownership

I think anything can be confiscated if the government wants it badly enough - having said that I doubt confiscation of any PM's will take place anytime soon and if it does we're likely to be to busy dodging excrement from the rotational air displacers.

    Something a bit different.....

If you have a wine celler or something similar I'd put it in there - cool, dark and dry place should minimise the risk of cracking as it dries.

    Stop buying diamonds?

I never started - the idea of buying something "precious" that can now be manufactured just didn't strike me as sound.

That is just what THEY want you to think man.......put on a foil hat and think again!

    Gold and Silver or Property?

That is a main point about US property - the yields are great but you need a few properties to justify the trust set up's etc. and ongoing tax costs and upkeep is huge compared to Australia as you virtually need to do a cosmetic reno between sets of tenants given the number of properties on the...

    Aboriginal Art.

Interesting investment vehicle but my knowledge of art in general is not sufficient for me to dip my toes in and the way art is has a sentimental/non-tangible value (more so than most investments I know sentiment influences them all) put's me off. Having said that I know a lot of people make...

    Using inflation to erode debt?

Good strategy if you own your primary place of residence and investment properties IMO - I fixed recently on investment properties leaving the PPOR floating, pay down the PPOR ASAP since it is not tax deductible leaving the investment properties fixed for 3 years on sub 6% rates and interest...

    Using inflation to erode debt?

+1 to JisLizards post above but I'll add that on an investment property the loan is staying the same presumably the property value is increasing but the kicker is the rent will be inflating - so buy 100k property @ 6% interest with rent of $120/week (6.2% yield) assume 100% loan interest only...

    This is how it stands...

No argument with the product it was me showing a friend the cats and macaws that got him into it (and partially why I got pissed when they started dicking him around). Looks like they are starting to sort their issues out now so I'll keep my beak out of it until things are resolved one way or...

Found it you received your order which is good to hear. Did it go smoothly or did you experience issues getting here? I actually hope to hear that you had issues as that means maybe they have started to resolve them.

    This is how it stands...

Yes I posted my opinion which is what I thought forums like this were intended for - I'm sorry to hear that you have an investment with them and hope it goes well for you. Are you currently up to date in terms of coins owed? A few more 1st hand accounts of people receiving their entitlements...

Nope not owed money or awaiting delivery - a friend of mine is though if that makes any difference. + I gripe easily.

    This is how it stands...

Don't get me wrong I hope it all works out for everyone including RSC but the communication or lack thereof by this company to it's client base is ridiculous. How hard is it in this day and age to put your affected customers on an e-mail list and keep them updated in a regular manner? That's my...

'Try living on minimum wage' - Govt vs Rinehart

In all fairness to her though she turned a multi-million dollar enterprise into a multi billion dollar enterprise through hard work - it would have been a lot easier for her to piss her inheritance away and oddly enough had she done this she wouldn't cop the flak she does these days.
