Crazy prices for RAM $2 coins

One example. When I sell, it's pretty frequent to have non paying bidder who bids an unusually high price. These are recorded in the 'sold' category. These are typically from "Australian" accounts with 1 or 2 feedback score from 1 other account. They are fake. There was one example though who...

Crazy prices for RAM $2 coins

$2 sales from RAM to banks are interesting. Kind of suggests that the RAM isn't keeping up the $2 demand even with all the coloured ones. Very little demand for $1 or 50c. Reading between the lines, the RAM probably has a stockpile and no need to mint these until Charles' effigy. In sold...

Fake gold for sale on eBay

Making an ebay come back: grade your own shit coin and add a value. Ebay clamped down on this years ago regardless of whether you added disclaimer. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/204118049605

King Charles coming to a Coin near you!

so rare in fact, I thought 5oz had been discontinued until about a week ago. They already have a licence (what ever the Act is called) from government for a combination of reverse/obverse in unlimited mintage. I don't see why they couldn't restrike with QE2 provided they don't change year and...

How to look at todays market to make money in ten years

ah, that's sweet. Specialize in something and collect the fee. Maybe the sales guys are specialists but with 1000s of them it's extremely competitive and you got to share those specialist fees with so many other cnts. The money's often in the small niches. As true for I think income as for...

    Quadrum vs Airtite

I haven't really noticed, but then, quadrum has been more for gold and airtites for silver. I have noticed many times that airtites tarnish evenly around the circumference so they are clearly not air tight.

How to look at todays market to make money in ten years

How to look at todays market to make money in ten years Invest in your skills. Skills to actually make things whether physical or digital. Not in skills to make money for other people. Skills seem to pay dividends time and time again and its uncorrelated to business cycles.

    Quadrum vs Airtite

The last I remember buying were from a coin shop in Lismore. https://www.onlinecoinsandcollectables.com.au/collections/lighthouse-intercept Yeah just don't drop them ;)

    Quadrum vs Airtite

Intercept, I guess. I forget all the marketing names. (Whether air tight matters or not might depend where you live. I have an long running experiment going with fine silver. In country air, it takes about 3 years exposed on a window sill before the first signs of tarnishing.)

    Quadrum vs Airtite

Quadrum that I use aren't air tight. Their marketing is saying their plastics prevent oxidization, which seems to work. I like them because they store easily and also present well (read: collectors pay a slightly higher price when they see quadrum).

Fedex wanting duty paid for U.S order of 9999 silver

999 is GST free. I was saying in general that there won't be very many examples of the AUD1000 threshold applying in practice. It's only for very small turnover exporters to Australia. In theory, Bullion Now pays GST on importing a gold eagle but they're suppose to pay to the exporting mint...

Crazy prices for RAM $2 coins

How many sold prices are real? All my listings now require immediate payment otherwise I only get new accounts (usually with Indian names) making stupidly high bids that never pay. Maybe coin dealers? buying fake accounts, pumping and dumping their stock.

Fedex wanting duty paid for U.S order of 9999 silver

Applies only to small turnover exporters to Australia, which is very unlikely to be golden state mint. I bet though they are not collecting GST for gold eagles etc.

Which Gold coins to buy in Australia?

Widely recognized government issued gold coins. There's really no longterm tried and true Australian gold (only 100 yo sovereigns) so modern coins may or may not hold their premium. My 2c is buy lunars, swans etc at bullion prices. If they hold their premium longterm then it's an added bonus...

Fake gold for sale on eBay

I'm too young to ever consider a vet but yeah the deals are now few and far between. The thrill of the hunt mostly gone. Are there really many new stackers with premiums so high? Not that long ago (2021) was buying 1g au from PM's ebay store with the 10% voucher applying to the full basket...

Fake gold for sale on eBay

I actually don't see a problem with that listing. It's never described as gold composition or bullion. Most of the real howlers on ebay are silver. New silver that's plated or old silver that's spark eroded.

Real rates are already well into the negative. Nominal is kind of meaningless if official change in CPI is 7%

    Morgan silver dollar value

Go for the S morgans. Pretty common to find ones with mirror fields for around $50 in Australia (theyve probably been dipped). Unlike CC and Os, most of these have no collector value until they reach high MS.

    Stacking circulated coins....?

All the ebay solds are best offers. Can be recorded as buy it nows or auction if private offer was made. Dealers whacking off selling coins to themselves and fishing for real bites. Seems to catch somethin these days with every new RAM or PM release. The standard circulated red poppys (not C...
