    Donation coin

You are joking or kidding, right? 3 million a low number? There are heaps of one dollar coins in Australia that have mintages of less than 20,000 and numerous ones that are much lower than that. And they don't sell for more than $10 each either. Even the NCLT dollar coins with low minatges...

Silver is dropping right in front of my eyes

Yeah sure, somebody dumping 150,000,000 ounces into the market into the middle of the night isn't manipulation. By the way, who has 150,000,000 ounces to dump and why would tthey do so if they were rational? They could drip feed the silver into a rising market and make a bundle rather than...

Silver is dropping right in front of my eyes

Well so far there have been two huge dumps in total of silver contracts - around 9:30pm and then at 3:30am One dump was around 14,000 contracts in total and the other at 3:30am was even bigger at over 16,000 contracts. IIRC these contracts are for 5000 ounces each so someone, from somewhere...

Silver Kangaroos: Carded vs Post Office Holders

Just some questions in regards to the silver kangaroo coins: 1. I've noticed in the McDonald's book that the mintage for the issues is broken down into carded, coin fair, and proof issues, but there is no mention of these coins in the post office issue type holder. Is there anywhere to find...

    Getting coins NGC-slabbed: worth it?

Years ago I needed to get a coin graded and slabbed - it happened to be a Chinese 1979 Year of the Child silver proof coin. The whole process of joining, sending the coin to get graded, and then having it sent back was time consuming and costly. The only reason I did it was to be alble to sell...

    eBay disaster PLEASE HELP!

eBay is only half the problem. PayPal is just as bad, if not worse as shown by this thread. Years ago I sold an expensive set of stamps to a buyer in Germany and sent the stamps insured with tracking. After about three weeks or so the buyer hadn't got the stamps and opened a case with eBay...

    eBay disaster PLEASE HELP!

As I posted in another thread the better half was recently ripped-off as well. We don't know who "stole" the item, but it was 'lost', 'missing', stolen, or the buyer lied about getting it as it was sent regular post. I have a pretty good idea about who to put the blame on as a result of the...

    Clarification/Questions on Australia Post

I have a few questions on sending items by Australia Post. I've been an active seller on Ebay in the past selling mostly philatelic material and related items, but only a few coins. As many know ANY item posted by regular mail and that is "lost" or stolen will result in a total loss for the...
