Quick update: 08- $55 to $75 09- $45-60 10- $45-60 90 kook- $60 to as high as $90s (yes, I actually seen an auction go that high) Looks like the 08 kook dropped a bit in value. 90 kooks still hold up pretty good. I find it hard to believe that the 90 kooks is the top kook to get?

Just did a value check on the 08s and they are declining in value a bit. It wasn't long ago when you can get $75 a coin not too hard and world auctions were getting close to triple digits. Looks like the range is low as $55 to a high of low $70s per coin. My guess what a roll is worth would be...

This is another point I forgot to add that you reminded me of. It's also a hobby as I am also a collector. The fact that I'm merging my hobby with a tangible asset like silver is just a bonus. Hobby+investment = a happy couple :)

Yes, semi numis are the way to go. The premiums you pay up front will increase in magnitudes far beyond what regular generic or regular bullion coins can offer. I bought 2009 kooks a tad bit over spot moreso than an eagle or maple in that year and see what the comparison now is. Pandas, kooks...

These are not bad coins to invest. While not the hottest Lunar animals the mintage should be low enough (once Perth posts their numbers) to make it a worthwhile purchase

I'm not into gilded at all simy for what others said.... Most of the gilded coins tend to have a fairly high mintage amount to not make it worthwhile especially considering when you can get the BU version for half the price. Only one coin that's worth getting IMO is the 2008 gilded Kookaburra...
