    price on kook remints

Nice! Actually found a great deal here on silverstackers as well, :) Also trying to find 09 Pandas for low 40s (I know sounds tough but gonna try)

    price on kook remints

Actually its not that hard to believe in retrospect. It was mainly the 08s and the 90 kook that were the tops. Online sites and ebay usually sold the 08s at a higher price than the 90 but yes, it made logical sense as far as mintage and being first in the series that the 90 should have been the...

    price on kook remints

Quick update: 08- $55 to $75 09- $45-60 10- $45-60 90 kook- $60 to as high as $90s (yes, I actually seen an auction go that high) Looks like the 08 kook dropped a bit in value. 90 kooks still hold up pretty good. I find it hard to believe that the 90 kooks is the top kook to get?

Current price check - Roll of 1oz 2008 Kookaburras

Just did a value check on the 08s and they are declining in value a bit. It wasn't long ago when you can get $75 a coin not too hard and world auctions were getting close to triple digits. Looks like the range is low as $55 to a high of low $70s per coin. My guess what a roll is worth would be...

    Do semi-numismatics hold value better?

This is another point I forgot to add that you reminded me of. It's also a hobby as I am also a collector. The fact that I'm merging my hobby with a tangible asset like silver is just a bonus. Hobby+investment = a happy couple :)

    Do semi-numismatics hold value better?

Yes, semi numis are the way to go. The premiums you pay up front will increase in magnitudes far beyond what regular generic or regular bullion coins can offer. I bought 2009 kooks a tad bit over spot moreso than an eagle or maple in that year and see what the comparison now is. Pandas, kooks...

    10oz lunar snake

I'm placing my bets on Lunar Horse S2. Hoping that silver stays in the low $20s and will jump on these puppies (or rather horsies) with both hands. Premiums should be reasonable and this was one of the hotter coins in the first series. Plus it's my lunar year so there is some confirmation bias...

    10oz lunar snake

What Matthew said. Dragon could have been on the top if the Perth Mint didn't dip their greedy greasy hands into them.

It also only ships to AU, but do appreciate the help. Looks like I did get a few PMs though ;)

    10oz lunar snake

These are not bad coins to invest. While not the hottest Lunar animals the mintage should be low enough (once Perth posts their numbers) to make it a worthwhile purchase

    price on kook remints

Thanks Clubman but I've been checking the auctions for awhile on these coins and its been near impossible to get em in the low to mid $40s here in the US (including S&H)I lost out twice in an auction on these freaky coins. 2008 kooks once and a blue moon can be had for $60s but again, that...

Here are some key dates off hand: 2008 Kook $80-$120 -I'm sure if you buy in bulk or look hard enough can get cheap (Gilded 2008 kook is most prized Kook, so happy to own a pair of these beauties) 1990 $65-$100 2009 $55-75 2010 $55-$75 (actually its becoming the hottest kook coin IMO and I...

How Are Colored S2 Lunars Factored in for Mintage?

    Much thanks and huge help!!

    Gold gilded silver coin?

I'm not into gilded at all simy for what others said.... Most of the gilded coins tend to have a fairly high mintage amount to not make it worthwhile especially considering when you can get the BU version for half the price. Only one coin that's worth getting IMO is the 2008 gilded Kookaburra...

How Are Colored S2 Lunars Factored in for Mintage?

For example say there are 17,000 (example number as I forgot the original number) of the 1/2 oz S2 Lunar Oxes, would that number include too of the colored coins as well? Or the colored coins have their own separate mintage??

1 oz Year of the Ox (Boxed Coloured) Mintage?

I've manged to grab a handful of regular S2 1 oz silver oxens but it looks like the deals are getting harder to find here in the US. Instead of paying $100 for a regular 1 oz Ox, I've decided to go ahead and grab 2 of the coloured Ox limited mintage edition which features a box and COA. The...
