Masterpieces in Silver: Definitive ASW List

Was the set you refer to the same as this one >> http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2005-Australian-Mint-Fine-Silver-Proof-6-coin-Year-Set-/310684507649?pt=AU_Coins2&hash=item48563d5e01 ? The Fine Silver Proof Year Sets are often (incorrectly) described by some ebay sellers as "Masterpieces in...

    Please HELP!! Unidentifiable Silver Eagle

Reeded edge, or plain edge? If it's a plain edge, then that is more than likely where any identifying marks will be.. If reeded, there is often one or more 'interruptions' to the reeding where purity/SN stamps will likely be found... :)

    Easter - Two years ago

Well, I too remember $4.50 silver - and I thought "$78 for a kilo bar? - why not?", so I did... ;) Sold a bit, and bought a bit more over the years, and I still have that (Geomin) bar.. :D If I could just go back, and know what I know now........................ :)

    Krugerrands.

Are you able to provide a link to a credible source of info which would support this view? (I'm sure the OP would be grateful ;) ) @ OP, I can find no reference to International Shipping on the PPM website, therefore, on that basis it is highly unlikely that there would be many (if any)...

5 oz tubes for Perth Mint coins?

OK, so I just found a metal (steel) tennis ball canister that I didn't realise (or had forgotten) was 'laying about the place'... Anyway, the long and the short of it is, due to the constriction at the top of the canister, it will not accept the PM, or similar 5oz capsules :( Diameter of the...

5 oz tubes for Perth Mint coins?

The metal (aluminium??) ones would be fine (I think), but the 4-ball ones would hold 18-20 coins/caps.. Fill 'em up w/- 5oz coins (in their capsules), and you'd have 90 -100oz! (wouldn't want to drop one on ya toe!) I find the afore-mentioned cans a convenient size for me (10 coins), and I...

5 oz tubes for Perth Mint coins?

Yep! Have a look in your pantry.. Got a tin o' baked beans handy? ;) Most (if not all) of the common 420g canned food cans have an internal diameter of approx. 73mm, just about purrrfect for the PM 5oz coins in their capsules, and most other 5oz'ers as well... These cans are good for 10 x 5oz...

    weather again

Colin Andrews (among others, no doubt) certainly seems to think there's something fishy going on.. http://colinandrews.net/.search?results_page=&p=haarp&name=Search I noticed a similar pattern emanating from the Namoi (NSW) radar facility at about the time Oswald was 'doing his thing'...

Are 2012 American Silver Eagles thinner?

Just for you, I went and measured a 2010 ASE (don't have any 2012's), and the dimensions are more or less in accordance with what you have stated, though the diameter of this one is closer to 40.7mm than the 'nominal' 40.6.. I understand the 'nominal mass' (31.103g) to be the guaranteed...

    Fuel stackers ?

I reckon that's an "Old husband's tale" (as Don Bourke would say ;) ) If you're referring to the hot/cold/expansion/contraction/condensation thing, then it's only an issue if the lid seals are not up to scratch.. If the lid seals are not up to scratch, you can hang the containers from the...

    eBay bargains thread

Well actually, I think I'd be pretty pi$$ed off if I was watching an 'active' auction, hoping that it might, just maybe, "fly under the radar", and someone posted a link to it here before the end time... Just sayin'.............. In any case, it ain't no "bargain" until the auction has ended...

    Fuel stackers ?

Being an "ol' bushie from way back", I long ago got into the habit of *always* having some spare fuel on hand.. Usually not less than 100L ea of ULP & diesel in my shed at any given time (more often than not, quite a bit more than that). Yeah, yeah, I know.. prob'ly against "regulations", but I...
