Crazy prices for RAM $2 coins

I remember getting about $1000 worth of these from ANZ... we sold them over the counter by the roll. Doh.

    2020 Collapse

Bingo - you make money when you buy. I recently exited Tesla with an awesome return because I got in cheap. Didn't have to fret over my exit price. There's only so much more upward mobility for what was a trillion dollar company. Pretty much every stock I own bottomed out in March 2020, and I...

Man behind the "Tyrant Collection" unmasked

Paywalled - answer is Dan O’Dowd - "CEO of Green Hills Software, which specializes in software for “embedded systems” — built-in microprocessors dedicated to hardware — with customers in the aerospace, military and automotive realms, among others." I need to get along to a show when they're...

    JOTD

Bingo. Keep the toxic political crap out of it. Something something no correspondence will be entered into. Reopening the thread - but I pretty much agree with the moderation decisions made in this thread. One long time member has been walked for the rest of the week, that's enough please.

    Nickels worth too much

Same reason that people stack pre 83 pennies for their copper content - the nickel is worth more than the face value. I don't think there's any legitimate way to cash in though, unless an above-face value market develops for nickel-content nickels.

    Nickels worth too much

I remember someone here in FL getting robbed during a party - they had a huge nickel stash, rolls in bank boxes. Something crazy like $18k in nickels stored in a cupboard. Someone found it and cleaned it out during the party. Found the article - 360,000 nickels, $18,000, they weighed 3,968lb or...

HEADS UP! Australia Post enforce bullion/coins are prohibited rule on my domestic shipment

That's ridiculous. Australia Post literally gives bullion dealers commercial accounts. Re insurance, it's covered through what's known as a Jeweller's Block policy, and is part of "sendings". The insurance companies know what they're covering. Australia Post insurance is not usable.

How much premiums do rare coins get?

It really depends on the market. Last year I had a major dealer in the US decline to buy 2012 1oz gold dragons at any price because they were "overstocked in that SKU" - they simply didn't want those particular coins. Ended up selling to a smaller dealer at the same show for a decent margin...

Abit of advise needed . INCUSE INDIAN

US coins have inverted faces. Rotate them on a horizontal axis to see the correct orientation. As mentioned, that's a modern silver round, based on a historical $2.50 & $5 gold coin design.

PlanDemic, a film about the global plan to take control of our lives, liberty, health & freedom

^^^ this. I'm seeing a ton of anti-vax type content popping up in US FB groups. Same people that have been posting this video usually have "5G caused coronavirus" posts in their feed. So which is it? Wuhan lab or 5G? Can't flog both conspiracies.

    Today I Stockpiled...

Grew up on a farm with dams stocked with silver and golden perch - silvers were by far the easiest to catch, and from memory they reproduced within the dam without needing restocking as often.

    Today I Stockpiled...

My towers are all timer based - once a week I fill the reservoirs, measure the nutrients with a total dissolved solids meter, add nutrients if required, and then adjust the pH. Adjusting pH involves a few hours of waiting for things to stabilize. The other days we're just picking salads.
