Not a fan of these "numismatic" releases @ over $100/coin. Very hit and miss some do well (tasmanian tiger for example) and some languish going nowhere even if spot climbs. Better metal for your $ IMO unless you either want to collect (so not for investment) or luck out on the next big thing.

At least he's a great reminder to use your mental filter with anything on the net. I wouldn't mind so much if he wasn't wrong with his calls so often.

Interesting time to dip your toes mate but welcome aboard the share train. As long as you do some decent due diligence you should be ok. To be honest for a beginner I'd recommend LIC's or jumping aboard some of the shares mentioned here by folks doing good research.

The proofs would still make it a good deal IMO though.

I pressume the 4 coin set are 1 ounce coins? if so it seems a decent price to me especially given the bullion are going for around $100 a coin atm.
