    Australian Coin and Bullion Exchange

Good on you for walking away. Well done. Once that starts being accepted, we're on a slippery slope.

HA! Which one of you posted this on Fee-Bay???

Really nice to see some lateral thinking about how to deal with the rash of cheap fakes on fleabay passed off as "real". Nice one.

Does anyone out there insure their PMs?

Interesting responses - thanks everyone. I agree that the best safeguard against theft is not to be an easy target in the first place.

Does anyone out there insure their PMs?

Yeah, that was precisely my experience. Left the appliances, just took cash, jewellery, digital camera. Nothing too hard to fence. I'm really only worried about theft. If my house burns down or gets washed away in a flood, loosing my tiny PMs collection is going to be the least of my worries...

Has anyone else heard this assertion in The Australian's article that Australia's gold deposits will be exhausted in 30 years time? That seems unlikely to me...

    SNIPED

Snipers p*** me off, but what can you do? The trick is to know your absolute maximum, enter that when you bid, and if you lose to a sniper then so be it - at least you aren't caught in a bidding war and end up paying more than you wanted. If it goes for more than you were willing to pay, then...
