    Mega group buy?

The idea sounds great in theory and I would also support a group buy BUT. IMO , as so many have already mentions....to buy say 3 bars and save a possible $60...its not really worth the the exercise unless your prepared to buy in bulk as an individual we're your saving $600+ then it starts to...

Perth Mint Holey Dollar & Dump

Interesting response Ron. I think the problem/confusion has been bought about by the Perth Mint, with earlier holy dollar and dump releases. The 1988/1989 & 1990 releases were all 1.25oz , then when they released the historical coin collection in 2005/2006 the holy dollar in that particular...

    What's a N.Z. Silver Fern worth?

I would say AUD$40 would be the bench mark......for a perfect coin. Unfortunately these coins were not issued in capsules and had a tendency of having excessive scuff marks, resulting in the coin only being worth spot. Stunning coin though, if fortunate enough to have one in excellent condition.

Do Lunar Coins With Mint Defects Still Carry a Premuim

Hi Au... There have been several post on stackers recently on how frustrated people are with several mints producing coins with milk spots .....but are they still prepared to pay a premium for lunars...... Although a bullion product, they still carry a numismatic collector premium.......demand...

Do Lunar Coins With Mint Defects Still Carry a Premuim

I dont have the coins , so pics aren't available. I will try an obtain a pic of the coin showing the scratch marks that I'm talking about as for milk spots, I'm sure we all know what they look like Basically , I didn't purchase the coins due to the flaws. Do Lunar Coins With Mint Defects Still Carry a Premuim

Hi SS, Thanks for your reply. Yes , I'm referring to the Perth Mint. And also agree that the earlier series two releases appear to have less flaws. The problem appears to begin with the tiger. In relation to the scratches....the type of scratch that I'm referring to I believe is definately a...

Do Lunar Coins With Mint Defects Still Carry a Premuim

Lately I have noticed more and more Lunar coins poping up that have scratches and milk spots ..... but these coins are out of untouch rolls Would you still pay a premium for a lunar coin that has a mint defect.... At the end of the day, I understand that its always going to be easier to...

    Can't decide, opinions please

$1800 in fees and penalties - WOW Without knowing what type of investment you have your 401K in. Just increase your credit card limt or apply for a personal loan ....... pay it off when your investment full due. Sounds a lot cheaper than losing $1800 for a $3500 trip..... IMO very unlikely that...

Has the Perth Mint ruined the Lunar Coin Market

IMO its all a cycle. The only way that I can see the perth mint destroying the true lunar series , is if they break their promise and re-mint previous year lunars - all sizes to their full mintage figures similar to the kooks ( believe this cant happen....but no guarantees ) As we have seen...

Will the Funnel Web Spider sell for $500 like the Red-Back Spider?

Personally, I believe the Perth Mint should have used the funnel web spider as the first coin in series two of the deadly and dangerous series (if they were contenplating a second series) Then it may have carried some merit........and the potential to fetch a high premium being the first coin...

How long do you give a seller to make it right?

Interesting reply:rolleyes: I'm familiar with the sales thred. Putting it politely....when you ask for a premium on bullion.....you exspect a perfect coin Once a bullion coin is damaged , in my opinion its only worth spot....hence that what I would sell / buy it for . Also, as a stacker, there...

    Ebay Setting Sales Limits!

I personally beleve theres a place for ebay.. BUT agree unless you have a red back spider coin....selling PM on ebay is hardly worth the time and effort. By the time you remove all the fees plus your time for postage and handling....you end up losing more often than not (yes talking from...
