    Advice removing stickers from cases

Thanks everyone for the advice. I ended up using a sponge with some warm soapy water to remove the top layer of paper from the sticker, then once the paper from the sticker was gone I used eucalytus oil to get the sticky goo off. Came up nice. Thanks again all.

    Advice removing stickers from cases

No, sorry I am not explaining myself. I have a 1989 RAM holey dollar and dump. It is in a presentation case thing. the goods themselves are in a plastic capsule and that sits inside the case. The inside of the case is black velvet type stuff and the outside is first of metal and then covered in...

Picking on the wrong guys again... Anti SMSF agenda.

What sort of problems? I cant see how it could make the current manifestation any worse with regulation. So we just simply leave it the way it is do we? There are brokers out there who have financial services licenses who engage in helping people achieve these purchases regardless of the...

Picking on the wrong guys again... Anti SMSF agenda.

Well that is partially my point in relation to the financial services industry. Guaranteed weekly rental amounts (that cant delivered), brokerage fees for the service in the vicinity of $8000 and on top of that an additional $30,000 commissions on the sale and trail income for the life of the...

Picking on the wrong guys again... Anti SMSF agenda.

It's a bit of a slippery slope. There are many variables involved in this new trend in using your SMSF to purchase property. To be able to advise people to take this course you have to have an Australian Financial Services License and a lot of so called "advisers" are not. This puts people in a...

    Auction bidders playing silly buggers

lol, I am not going there again. Cooling off periods only apply to the purchase of land/houses. (Section 31 of the Sale of Land Act) and that right doesn't apply to auctions of land/houses. So if you auction your house the buyer doesnt have a right to any cooling off period. The sale is done...

    Auction bidders playing silly buggers

Correct!! Its a legally binding contract. Of course you wouldnt pursue it in the courts if it were a matter of a few hundred dollars.....not worth the effort but yeah, very poor form. There have been many times I have bid on items on ebay and found something better and purchased both items. Its...

    Popping my SMSF cherry

This issue has been a contentious one for me for some time and still dont know the answer to this question myself however this may give you some guidence on it. News release NSW bullion find

Well yes, whilst the defense needs to justify his/her position (not unlike self defence) it's not technically true that the onus is on the defense to prove his/her innocence. For a court to convict on a Goods in custody charge, the presiding magistrate must be satisfied that he/she reasonably...

    News release NSW bullion find

The above only relates the act of arrest, not the prosecution of the suspected crime. The hearing first ascertains if the police acted lawfully in the arrest of the poi (person of interest). If they did then the hearing proceeds to find if the goods were in fact unlawfully obtained. The mere...

Please tell me what this is made of...?

If the end peices are indeed gold then it would make sense that it would be silver. You wouldn't attach golds end to anything that isnt a precious metal. Before reading your comments I first thought it was a torc.

Stolen coin collection Mornington Area Victoria

Hi Julie, this is not going to help much but my sister had a very nice coin and gem collection a few years back. Her daughter told some kids from school about them and the next week was broken into and the lot went. Young people tend to talk about these things without even considering that...

Quick question: Will the Scottsdale omnia's fit into the 39mm tube containers? I am not sure if it will be a tight squeeze or if I should go up to the 40mm.
