China owns a lot more gold than it’s letting on – and here’s why

"Dont even think about gold, other countries. We have a shit ton of the stuff and will fck you up proper if you try it." Pretty strong disincentive

Which coins should starters invest in?

Any wallet that's open source and audited. You haven't actually said what coins/tokens?

    2020 Collapse

I didn't watch the video but velocity has been a talking point with financial professionals for years. Obviously declining velocity, price levels, treasury yields are all linked together. Exactly the same patterns being seen in many traditional markets. What do they all have in common?

Which coins should starters invest in?

Many coins are genuine but are ultimately solutions in search of a problem. Most of the innovation ultimately ends up in btc or eth improvements. Problems that say bitcoin cash claimed to solve on bitcoin were not actually problems or were solved with segwit, lightning or liquid. Problems that...

    SH*T Coin Speculation Thread

My old man could never comprehend that there was no wizard of oz pulling the levers. I could never comprehend why so many people need to feel like someone greater is in control. Perhaps there was some control in yesteryear but today most people in positions of authority are...

Which coins should starters invest in?

With hindsight after about 5 years in crypto (not very long actually) I would just buy a small amount of btc and small amount of eth. I wasted so much time reading truly stupid white papers when I could have been more productive outside crypto. Mega returns on stellar and raiblocks were off...

Which coins should starters invest in?

All ends up at 0. Shells, stones, beads didn't store their value. Metals is next in the cycle. Then paper currency. Hopefully we're civilized enough at some point to transcend all stores of value. For now though nothing comes close to crypto for moving billions in perceived value at basically...

    Platinum Premium

In AUD premium for new platinum is just a smidge more than gold at the moment. For platinum weight better going for older AUD and US recognizable coins that are 995 and usually somewhere close to spot.

Which coins should starters invest in?

No skin in the doge game but I understand why its there (cheap, fast coin, not a legal security) One the other hand the ADAs, DOTs and LINKs are more expensive, less efficient alternatives to using all the available ETH ERCs and smart contracts that exist on BTC/ETH.

    Dogecoin

I've probably read it a thousand times but much of criticism leveled at crypto might equally be leveled at stonks (fundamentals and value investing is pretty much dead and its been mostly a greater fool speculators market since 2008)

    Dogecoin

Doge is an old coin. I strongly suspect it's been used to move billions across borders at near zero cost knowing its very low risk with no leader, no development and it's not a legal security. The teens will be mostly in new coins with high risk leadership, shady developers and legal securities...

    Dogecoin

yep. I pretty open to all the crazy new financial ideas but sneakers is something I just don't see collecting or trading value in. which have very high costs (but yeah defintely own these unencumbered before buying digital shiba dogs.) .

    Dogecoin

Not really :) Trading cards have gone digital. Sneakers have gone digital. Still trying to get my head around trading digital sneakers but I guess not much different to physical sneakers that are made not to be worn. In essence gold and silver are now digital markets too without much connection...

    Dogecoin

Thousands in the graveyard. These have zero liquidity so effectively worth zero. It's just another new genx/y/z investment market. You might get similar returns in sneakers, lego, baseball cards, rare coins, even rusted out holdens/gmc, fords, chryslers. Never forget you are shorting in what...

    Dogecoin

Doge has something. It's one of the very best mediums of exchange in the world. Great for shitcoin trading and great for money laundering. It's just a shit store of value and not an investment in any sense of the word. Do we have to ttalk about Schiff? Both he and his son are two bit scammers

    Dogecoin

Only a few of the worlds best coders. Typically these were students of the best cryptographers of the 1970s and 1980s. Not to mention the very high level of skilled coders working on side chains. Ethereum is similar. Doge is just a fork but its rather unusual because it was never was raped by...

    2020 Collapse

I'm more concerned about prolonged deflation, velocity stuck under one, and what happens to sovereign debts if the expected inflation never shows.

    Dogecoin

It was a joke but in fairness still more valuable today than most premined coins. What happened to Jackson Palmer? he was quite prominent in 2018, shitting on doge, talking about all the different protocols, then deleted himself...
