    So a friend so a couple of the Crowns I had, and showed me some Dollars he bought from an Afghan Market for around $5 each a couple years ago. Other than weighing them, is there another way of checking the Authenticity? Things I should look for? Earliest is Labelled 1796 newest looks like 1894...

    Should change my username to The Phantom. ;) the signs around the bullion counter do say for purchases over $5000 ID will be recorded. Any form of jewellery buyback for any $ value ID will be recorded. Pretty sure bullion buyback over $5000 ID is required. (don't quote me on this one)

    So I just walked into the perth mint again. Bought a 10 gram card, paid cash. No id shown. Checked the receipt to see if the girl remembered me from 2 days ago and put my name on it. And no she didn't.

    If you place your order over the phone you don't have to provide any identification. I walked in about 2 hours ago, only bought a 20 oz bar, they didn't ask for id, will try to keep track of my spending, when I hit 5k I will see what happens.
