    Both markets made all time highs overnight. SP500 to gold ratio high but not extreme. However valuations stretched according to http://www.multpl.com/shiller-pe/. Another couple of years to run in this stock bull market?

    Unlikely. Federal politicians with 2 terms in parliament get $200k per annum for the rest of their lives! At current interest rates that's like a $10 million retirement account for a maximum of 8 years work. No wonder none of them are prepared to go for double dissolution.

    OK. So scratch the short term profit target and just go long here with stops @ 1180 and/or 1140. If your view is that the USD went up because of geopolitics, then it should fall as economics resume centre stage.

    It's become a huge industry in Australia. The welfare system is estimated to redistribute $150 bn annually. That puts the big 4 banks' profit of $29 bn in 2014 in perspective doesn't it. How long can it last? Who knows, who cares? Of course when the **** hits the fan it will be the 1 percenters...

    I guess my original thought was that even with all these "concessions" the top income earners still pay ALL the tax. Anyway that's what the data seems to show.
