Minted or Cast Gold Bars ?

Depends on what your exit strategy, I like smaller weights so I'd (personally) be buying 1/4 and 1/2 oz coins and 5gm and 10gm certicards. (I find this range to be a decent balance between premiums and cost) Maybe even go down as far as 2.5gm certicards but no lower.

Buy/Sell/Trade thread + is ok but - is not

I disagree with the overpriced thing. for a while there were a lot of PM 10oz bars on here that sold slowly because of the high premiums on them. I think it was a fair price nontheless because the mint wasn't selling them at the time. they did go eventually but only as people who were happy...

Buy/Sell/Trade thread + is ok but - is not

Every time I see one oz dragon for sale for double spot price I just want to tell people to stay away from it and that it is overpriced junk based on a shared delusion... Then again, maybe that is what this forum is ;) On facebook, the owner of the post can delete your comments too or ignore/...

Buy/Sell/Trade thread + is ok but - is not

It's a hard question with no easy answer. There is a reason why facebook doesn't have a dislike button. Some people don't take criticism well. Some criticisms are more valid than others.

Roll of kooks vs a roll of dragons

Yes but.... what is your exit strategy? If you are planning to sell to other people on this forum or ebay then 1oz is much easier to sell than a kg. What if silver tripples in price? 1oz might be $100 vs $3k for 1kg. If you're planning to sell back to PM or a dealer then you might get a...

Roll of kooks vs a roll of dragons

Kooks, dragons are inflated. 30x 1oz coin vs 1x kg would have to do with the percentage breakdown of my stack and what my exit strategy was.

Following the BIG AD super plan, looking for some recommmendations

So I have access to term deposits, asx 300 and iShares ETF's (no PMgold, sorry) So I can invest 1/3 into a term deposit, 1/3 into IOZ and I was hoping you guys could give me a recommendation for 3+ stocks that you think represent the best exposure to metals in the 300. I've already sent them...

Advice for newbie re silver bar differences please!

put it in a vault and you'll have trouble with delivery to a home address unless someone is there to sign for it. your bank should offer one, there might be other private providers in the area. always consider how much of this stuff you have in your home you don't want to be a target. never...

Advice for newbie re silver bar differences please!

Always good to have internationally recognised brands (PM and PAMP) but purchasing these or ABC bars which have the same amount of metal for slightly cheaper has a lot to do with your reasons for stacking, if you want maximum exposure to silver and what your exit strategy is. There is no...

    Tenth or Quarter?

210 vs 198 ~5% (not a bad saving) perhaps I should have said, the saving between 1/10 and 1/20 is not much but you start to see premium reductions at 1/4....

    Tenth or Quarter?

1/4 and 5gm bars ;p (from a premiums perspective, 1/10 is quite expensive)
