    BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

Okay, pulled my miner out of its case and put it on a rack, significant temp improvement, next stuck a 200mm fan over the two gpu's moderate temp improvement. it's now running at 98% of stock clock speed at 60% fan (must better on the ears) consistently drawing ~370w which is a bit less than i...

    BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

Okay I have a mining rig setup now, running windows 8 90 day eval just to see how I go, lots of heat problems, these aren't particularly hot cards but the small space between GPU's on the motherboard is a huge issue (bottom gpu 10% OC 50% fan top GPU -50% oc 70% fan) I'm thinking an open no case...

    BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

ah so what you can't see is I also made a PSU requirement table, 3 or 4slots isn't always a good idea... Also most cards seem to be double width now days and none of the motherboards seemed to have 4 double width slots only 3. Ifigured you probably didn't want to cheap out too much on the PSU...

    BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

Looks good, I should fix a spreadsheet tonight to figure out what the most cost effective hashing gear is atm. I imagine the best way to do this would to be to create a bunch of boot via network linux machines but, I'm guessing linux video card drivers wouldn't be as good, possibly leading to...

    BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

Maybe I saw the wrong things, I was looking at these guys http://launch.avalon-asics.com/ reading a bit more i'm thinking their unit ships with a 600 or 700w PSU and they are using chips that dissipate about 150w each, and there will be two in the base unit with the option of adding a third...

    BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

I highly doubt that. the ones I saw were more like 600w an ASIC is just a custom designed processor , you have to actually design, create a mask and start manufacturing this thing in a chip fab (which is NOT cheap) I imagine they are just a normal intel CPU with a special daughter card and...

    BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

They're a little bit faster than that: http://www.top500.org/lists/2012/11/ and they can do alot more than just simple hashing but your point is essentially correct. Any thoughts on the new ASIC miners or FPGA miners, looks like they will push people using graphics cards out of the market?

    Internet providers in Australia?

I was going to recommend TPG as well, don't use them if you expect to need to call up for service though, apart from that they provide outstanding value (probably because they have their own international cable) disclaimer, I have a couple of shares...

    Stolen goods

Just FYI, traffic cameras in Vic do not record footage, can't vouch for anything on a toll road or another state though, perhaps someone else can add more information? So that whole look at the traffic cam thing you see on NCIS, etc doesn't work here. (I'm not sure if it even works there...)

I'm trying to figure out the ideology of the initial "master mind" behind this. Like golden egg said about quarter of these just seem to make the whole country easy pickings to predatory foreign powers. Another quarter seem to just make problems... Ideology-based policy is what this nation needs
