    Tether & bitfinex scam?

Wouldn't be negligible really, not in the short term anyhow. A black cat walking on the street can send bitcoin down 50% let alone a real whale dumping a lot of bitcoin onto the market. That is the great thing about bitcoin imo, its volatility. If the price never moved no one would be making...

Genesis Mining - A test case study

Why are you white knighting in here court jester? You think no one but you can understand Genesis mining and you have to warn all of us gullible idiots? It looks like you are trolling because why would you take delight in someone else failing if it doesn't return his investment? Thats a bad...

How prevalent are molybedenum silver fakes?

Thanks for the advice StewyD32. I'm still quite new to this game. It seems if I hit them at the right angle they seem to make the sound but it is definitely harder than my other bars. I can't see how anything else can pretend to be 10.50grams and not be real silver so yeah. Outside getting them...

The guy that paid 10,000 BTC to buy pizza

If bitcoin stays the crypto reserve currency you, like most of us, will regret any purchases we made in Bitcoin in 2 years let alone 10 :) .

    Gold eagles

Right now its a decent insurance policy like gold has nearly always been. As an investment in and of itself its always been bad imo. Gold was used as a currency for most of our time as humans, not as a stock, and to use it like a stock/investment is foolish. But if you have no gold and silver...

How prevalent are molybedenum silver fakes?

I've got some silver bars which seem nearly 100% correct from a density perspective but its incredibly hard to make them have that nice silver sound my other bars have. It seems to pass the magnet tests but not sure what my next step should be. Should I drill a small hole in it or just be happy...

Don't just sign up to one exchange, often you can move Bitcoins/whatever around and make profits just sending them to a different exchange (arbitrage). Sign up to 3 aussie exchanges just to give yourself options. There are people making thousands per week just buying at one exchange, moving them...

    Monitoring the Crypto Bubble

When Bitcoin dropped to 4000 recently and then hit $10000 USD it attracted a lot of press and attention. Then a week later its going up to $17000 and I think this is because people are signing up to exchanges and it takes time to get money into them. Usually in the past that is when a massive...

You have some very logical and thought out positions. Property is horrendous in investing in from my experience, so many taxes and regulations. Selling and buying takes so much time and can be delayed by banks and idiots. Maybe if you are dealing in multimillion dollar properties it is fine to...

Cryptocurrency Ownership - Wake Up Australia! Make Sure Your Not Asleep At The Wheel !

There is no way at all Bitcoin will ever be the one world currency, it can't scale and cannot be inflated at will by the elite. They would create their own blockchain that is centralized and can be inflated at will like current fed fiat. But I find it hard to believe this will happen because...

    Nicehash Hacked

Stealing bitcoins is like stealing cash. You gotta break into the place and take it somehow. You can't just steal bitcoins by being creative on your computer the same way someone can't steal your cash/gold/silver by imagining it. Digital cash is like real cash and the way people steal bitcoins...

    Nicehash Hacked

If you can, keep your bitcoin in your own private wallets. I know its harder than keeping it at an exchange but if you want to hold a long position with it then keep it in your own wallet on a computer you trust.

Crypto isn't playing on a computer, its just maths. Even if the internet disappears your bitcoins are safe they just can't be used. That being said the reason all of us need to have precious metal insurance plans is because the internet may disappear or become heavily restricted in the future...

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies has probably made more millionaires in Australia in the last decade than anything else. Like always the dinosaurs in the media and government only realize it when the ship is in full sail.
