    5KG silver as hand luggage?

And so it starts... lets tighten up the movement of bullion into the country, and afterwards, we'll tighten up on the movement of bullion within the country. No surprises here... tweeted by the man 20 hrs ago. Is it true? Who knows... but it is believable. And just in case you forgot - "Orange...

    Finders not always keepers

An *elite* sub-group of us here at Silverstackers have started a "Treasure finders Club." Just PM me for the details, as we have a meet coming up soon (n.b. we are based in Melbourne). In a nutshell, what we do, is between the hours of 1:00am to 4:00am, we use our metal-detectors (our club has...

But Norman, this is the thing that I have always admired about you - that you have (for many years now) had a great sense of market timing. And now you have given the stackers a great inside tip (no doubt you have used multiple charts for this), that soon it will be time to buy the dip. I...

Thanks for that. You've saved us all 30:25 of our time. Sounds like a waste.

on another more sombre note, I see that Timmy has an admirer... [This is a good-will public service announcement] And yes, metals are "worthless" metaphorically speaking - as encapsulated in the traditional stackers saying, "Silver is poor man's gold, and gold is poor man's bitcoin."

Andy has forgotten more about precious metals than most of us will ever know, and what little he doesn't know ain't worth knowing. Hop on board the bitcoin train folks, because it is about to leave the station... cash in all your worthless metal...

Has anyone here used Perth mint's unallocated program?

Let's look at this from the level of basic human interaction... (a) if you do not trust someone, would you want to do (any/let alone ongoing) business with them? (b) with regard to point "(a)" lets point out that this person has plenty of other competitors who provide the same products. From a...

2021 Perth Mint Super Pit Silver Coin

Ridiculous. This is an anachronism. The super pit is a gold mine, so it should be a gold coin - ideally smelted from gold from that mine. Some mints do this type of thing on rare occasions; i.e. mint coins/medals sourced from gold from specific mines.

This is what most of you guys missed... He gave his life for the cause of silver liberation, and forever will his name be sung in memorial - for all generations of silverstackers. Even now, on Reddit, they are weeping in his (sacred) name. Go to Reddit, and see for yourself.

Apparently, according to many of the "industry experts" (n.b. Rick Rule, Keith Neumeyer, and some quality other folks & bullion dealers are not included in this motley bunch), if you "do this" (i.e. cannot fabricate products fast enough), it means you have "defaulted." And that your company is...

Correct. Watch this video, esp. relevant section is between 8:58min - 10:00min. Keith Neumeyer basically says that the little guy gets the "scraps"; i.e. the remnants, after the whales have had their feed.

For anyone who missed the intense, white-hot, heated action, that took place in the end, this is all I will say: [Movie: Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith] [Scene: Inside the Jedi Temple] Obi Wan: "Wait master, there is something I must know." Yoda: "If into the security recording you go, only...

But this is not saying much, as even a "buffoon in training" (i.e. has not yet attained the competency of a buffoon) would be able to expose SLV. PS: Just FYI, here is the hierarchical order (1=least competent, 5=most competent): 1: complete no-hoper 2: aspiring buffoon 3: buffoon in training...

I know, but imo the same paperwork precautions still apply... again its unprepared vs prepared. What camp do you want to be? Call me a coward, but I prefer to be in the camp of the prepared. Anything like this (i.e. interstate travel, and customs staff attitudes) needs to be viewed within the...

Agreed. And as the years unfold, you can guarantee things will not improve on this front. imo, when moving metals around, be prepared (i.e. paperwork, read the customs rules of the country you are entering, AND telephone them and ask) and absolutely tell the truth. And if necessary (I have had...

Correct! In India they know all about it. And likewise with life in "the land of the free..." Any good law enforcement agent will be able to tell you that PM is not the same as cash. And they are not going to argue the point, and that's the end of the matter. Even bubblebobble2 was not fully...

If you are asked to present your paperwork, then you not be caught out. Alternatively, you can carry the 5kg as small slugs and swallow them, thus avoiding all paperwork. PS: Just don't tell your friends this is how you move your metals around, as they wouldn't understand, what... being...
