    Privy coin, what is it?

If you think privys are a gimmick you're missing out on a market that can be consistently profitable. They're not always just a way to get around mintage limits. It's a specialised market with a specialised collector base, nabbing certain coin expo privys every year for example is a sure way to...

    A Happy UP Thread..

you know how beautiful silence is when someone expects you to be angry? No attention means he'd be talking to himself, comedy gold in my eyes.

What is the most expensive 1oz bullion coin in the last 20 or 30 years

I can understand something like that turning you completely off, luckily have not had that issue. I check my coins 2-3 times a year, so far almost all are completely mint. As a result I have often wondered how far spread the problem is, I could just be incredibly lucky up to this point...

Why do you choose to invest in precious metals over bitcoin?

I feel all the money has been made with bitcoin, far more risk with it compared to metals at current prices. Made some people incredibly rich, but I can't see it being allowed to going anywhere from here (but admittedly I have said that before and look where it is now).

    What to store large bullion?

are we talking bars? if you're wrapping them and still having an issue then there's probably too much moisture in the air. Keep some chalk sticks with your silver and it should solve the problem.

What is the most expensive 1oz bullion coin in the last 20 or 30 years

yeah but you can't go into it with that mindset otherwise you miss out on the ones that end up being fine. Even with casualties, buying a sheet a year is a very sound investment.

What is the most expensive 1oz bullion coin in the last 20 or 30 years

Without a doubt Pandas are a locked in profit. If you're big into silver, 30oz a year at least should go to a sheet of 1oz pandas. You get progressively happier with each passing year.

Digital Scales what do you recommend

it's one of those items where you feel the need to spend a lot of money, but the reality is cheap ones work just fine.

    Beware the disreputable 'stackers'

You may just be reading people incorrectly. I know a handful of traders that would seem disingenuous to stackers when promoting what they see in their TA, particularly at this moment when there is a sniff that metals are going to do something. They see grey where others see black and white...

Do you try and educate people on stacking

There are issues related to fiat currency, but it isn't "the" issue - ideal world it works just fine You play a dangerous game convincing someone to buy into metals. As an investment it's garbage at the moment, which doesn't exactly scream proof that the world is on the cusp of financial...

    Sorry Perma-Bulls..............

Your attitude sucks, has nothing to do with your prediction. What do you expect? said it before, you're preaching to the wrong crowd so why bother stirring everyone up? it was childish the first few times, now it's just sad. You can get a point across without acting like a dickhead, it's really...

Legends of Asgard: Max Relief the star of a beautiful new Odin coin

getting a sketch of a human figure is hard to translate to a coin at the best of times, making it high relief (in the style of the first coin) is going to be near impossible without the figure looking hideous. You're not really working with curves remember, the depth is a result of pressing down...

    Libertad 2015 Kilo for investment?

I know but there's a little bit of truth to it as well. There seems to be a stigma attached to libs and philharmonics and I have never understood it. Quality design and finish on both, yet incredibly unpopular - people would rather buy trashy generic bullion or milk spotted maples before giving...

    Libertad 2015 Kilo for investment?

When you have kooks, koalas and lunars in abundance it makes it hard to like other coins - all bullion coins are poor by comparison. Austrian Philharmonics are like libs as well here, they ooze quality but get no love.

    Libertad 2015 Kilo for investment?

depends what country you live in, market for libs in Australia is terrible. I have never bothered with them, even though I think the design is stunning. If you're after something that appreciates with age then pay a bit more and get 1oz semi numismatic coins ( lunars, kooks or pandas).

New Tiffany coin launched in 2oz and 1kg formats

I wish they all had this kind of depth to them, probably the best in the series as a result. I still think the 2014 coin is a better design though, only just.

The forces that be headed this spot price request

I just have a very warped sense of humour, don't mind me. Self proclaimed oracles are like weeds - gotta destroy them while they are young or they become a big problem. I was just checking you were not a weed.

icarus got too close to the sun <Sideways>

100% agree, talking to a guy without a stack (semi numis aside). I don't even have a desire to get back into metals going forward in truth, but I digress. $19 to $27 is not sideways, that's a move dreams are made of. It was not a blip up and down, so while the odds are bad you picked both...

icarus got too close to the sun <Sideways>

I get where you're coming from, reason I think stacking cheap bullion isn't worth it. Having said that, you take the low of last year and the recent high of this year - that's a decent profit to be had regardless of premiums. I'm not saying silver has been a good investment in recent years, I'm...
