Perth Mint advised that it is a permanent limit of 20 silver 1oz. They won't be lifting the limit... Which sucks... Considering the price there.

I notice that Ainslie hasn't put up any Lunar Horses yet... typically they set a pretty good standard for premiums... I called them last week and they said they wouldn't put them online until they received the stock...

Well look at the snakes last year... 1 week after launch and there were no limits at Perth Mint... so it was a fine then. I expect it to be the same.. limit of 20 for a week .. and then unlimited.

That is the scary part... they think they still own the coins and notes... I very much doubt they will be seeing them if they were held on their behalf at rare coin company....

Thanks for that... i hadn't gone in and had a look at what I can and can't do as of yet... just seemed like it made sense to be doing it... I wonder if it could be part of the "administrative" costs that I can charge etc... but anyway it is just taking from myself so what is the point... other...

Just wondered if you guys claim your visits to your metal storage from your SMSF? e.g. Cost of parking, or kms travelled etc for when you visit to deposit/retrieve or audit? I have never done so. I only pay for the cost of my metal storage from the SMSF but nothing more than that... just...

I don't have a problem with Ainlsie and have been a long time buyer from them... I just wished they would put up a "message" or something when they do it... anyway... they have now put up a post on their facebook....

2 sides to every coin as they say... I guess I am also reading the news in Japanese.. so perhaps there is a different spin coming out of that...

The new prime minster seems to really be making an effort this time to get the Japanese economy going and allow their companies to fight against the Korean and Chinese dominance. Will be interesting to see where he goes from here... I am reading a lot of positives coming from it in Japan.

the problem here is that the wholesaler is owned by the same company as the retailer... so of course the wholesaler is going to make it harder for retailers other than the one they own...

The problem with Ainslie is that they were greedy at the start... setting it at $4200 a box where you could buy it at $4000 from the mint delivered. Then they went to 4100 and then to 3900... if they would have started out at 4000 or 3900 they would have moved a lot more at the start!
