Silver coin gift for a newborn baby

That's a cool idea, but if I get her into stacking when she is a bit older she will be looking forward to new releases as much as I do haha.

POSEIDON - *Actual* photos PLUS video

I have to wait a week or so to get mine in hand. Many people have said it's an ugly coin. I'm impartial, but it's definitely unique. You have to appreciate the time and work that has gone into the production. If only the same time and effort had been put into preparing a smooth sales process...

First image of Gods of Olympus POSEIDON

I got one. I sat and stared at that bloody icon until 3am when I fell asleep in my computer chair. Woke up at 7:30 and it was still spinning like a champion. Checked my email and there was a confirmation of purchase recieved at 12:40am LOL. I'm sorry to hear so many missed out.

Silver coin gift for a newborn baby

Hey stackers, My first niece was born recently and I wanted to give her a silver coin as a birth gift. Something released in 2014 that will hold or gain some premium and not cheesy or cartoonish. Would appreciate any ideas :D *Budget is anything up to $150. Cheers

say if you knew the economy was going down next week...........?

In that case, I'd sell my adult DVD collection and buy a few years worth of supplies.

    10oz - Bars or Coins?

I say go for the coin. There's simply more upside: - very hard to counterfeit compared with generic bars (more trust when selling) - can gain more premium over time - gorgeous to look at and valued as a collector piece - can be a treasured gift or heirloom to pass on (I gave my best mate a 1kg...

say if you knew the economy was going down next week...........?

House, I think we interpreted 'going down' a little differently haha. If 'going down' means SHTF then I'd pass on those stocks haha. OP - can u clarify? ;)

say if you knew the economy was going down next week...........?

What type of event? Stock market crash? If it was going to be a stock market crash I'd go with not buying extra of either and instead get some cash together for a fire sale on stocks. Gold will initially fall in a crash (like in 2008).

Great SBS documentary - Gold and Mining in Australia

If you haven't seen this, it's worth watching. The gold rush history alone is fascinating. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdBYd2znr2g/youtube]

What are the odds of me getting a poseidon coin tonight?

I'm hoping to pick one up. In the event I miss out I already put some lunar stuff in the cart to dull the pain. Good luck.

    drink less stack more

You'll just have to cut back "a couple of middys". Seriously though, good on you. I have a nice pile of kooks I can thank sobriety for. I still enjoy a couple of whiskeys on special occasions, but giving up regular drinking a couple of years ago made a big difference to my life, health and...

    Buying PMs in South Korea

As a general rule it's best to stick with 99.9/9% bullion in Asia. So if it was up to me I would bring over Perth mint coins or bars rather than a gold eagle. My hunch is a perth mint or PAMP certicard bar would be the way to go. Even a perth mint blob. But the coins are impressive. If you are...

    Buying PMs in South Korea

Just to follow up after re-reading your post. As for your recommendation about what form they should buy, my gf asked me the same question a couple of weeks ago. I started showing her my perth mint stuff and she was really impressed by it. However, I recommended she just collect forms that are...

    Buying PMs in South Korea

They can buy silver and gold online on Gmarket (the Ebay of Korea), from online bullion dealer websites, or from jewelers. There are plenty of gold dealers around that sell small blobs. Gold is measured in grams or 'don' (1 don is 3.75g). You can also buy 24K jewelry, turtles, toads, etc...
