Just checked the availability of the 1oz silver bullion snakes on the PM website... there are still 5069 coins left. Looks like its taking a while for these to sell out!

Mintage was 1000. Obviously big dealers like APMEX, Gainsville, Talisman etc would've gotten a lion's share of allocation. Then you also have other overseas dealers and mints, like Germany. Add in post offices and local coin shops... How many sets are actually left?? My guess is PM had less...

Skip it. With such a highmintage of 8000, you can probably get it below issue price here in the next couple of months on the buy/sell section.

There's alot of difference between the bullion site and the shop website. Firstly, only Australian buyers can puchase bullion directly from PM, so traffic on the bullion website is much more subdued that the shop website which is accessed by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world...

To be honest nothing much has changed despite all the fiasco that happened last year with the dragon proof coins. Sadly. Only difference is that they changed the times of the start of sales from 9am Perth time to 1201am Perth time, which IMHO has screwed all Aussie buyers!

Moral of the story, forget about placing orders via Internet... The system is just too screwed! Phone orders are the way to go!
