It was a stupid move with the pricing from Apmex and an even more stupid move from flippers to not see this was going to happen. In the end, I at least hope that those who picked it up to collect are happy with their purchase and what they paid for it.

Apmex are selling them in lots and jacking the price by $50 each time, so not really a realistic gauge. Also, they weren't selling as fast as I was expecting. Looking at other sites, it seems that most of those buying are flippers looking for quick turnarounds. I had one in my cart at $250 US...

We talked about this before and it didn't take them long. There's going to be a 5 oz version coming out with 500 mintage. It's listed on Apmex.

I won't speak to a store's direct words (this isn't a storefront and shouldn't be used as one). My only general comment would be to compare prices at stores (their prices and selection speak for themselves) and look at eBay listings for current and historical offerings. Then find what works best...

Spotting/blemishes in general occur on all RCM coins (pre-2018), just more common on bullion. I own some older RCM collectible coins but haven't experienced any spotting (the last time I checked). If you look online on other forums you will see people talk about blemishes on their non-bullion...
