Hmm. I suppose one way of knowing is whether the coins were minted early or later (depending on some serial number on the box). If I recall, coins that are minted early using a fresh metal die will be of better quality and strike.

Just look on ebay, plenty of them for sale now. MCM is slow to release them.
What boggles my mind is how much money they're selling for, seeing how alot of them are graded SP70 and the coin itself is BU with 1 million mintage.
I was part of a group buy that got them from the Royal Mint Bullion. Managed to get some of them in the "official" capsules used by Royal Mint. Pity they don't sell them to the public.
Just curious, is she able to purchase something using that account? I would just buy something and then sell it. Sure you'll incur a loss but at least you'll get most of your money out.
