I was offered some very good deals while in Kuching but we were traveling into the bush I wasn't going to lug bullion with me. I also wasn't sure what transiting through Singapore with it in my carry on luggage would be like.

@tiddleyetom - I wouldn't sweat that passport info too much. If you travel much overseas consider all the times you have been asked for it at a hotel, etc. Much more likely data breach there IMO.

Interesting that 10oz has less premium- in Australia is the opposite 10oz is about 1 dollar an oz more than buying kilo. 10oz $224 Kilo $674

If you are going to diversify in the future maybe list the asset classes you would eventually want exposure to and give at least a couple a little $$ from the start. Then you can play with the ratios as you go.

Simple new kilo bars. My normal vendor is sold out after this last dip but still taking back-orders. Other sources of the same product that still have stock are holding at about $12 to $15 more per kilo.

And there is no guarantee the dealers will follow spot all the way down. I see that happening to a certain degree with kilos already

I started staff at a living wage of about $25 with annual increases of 8 to 10%. When it’s a decent place to work nobody leaves and in 5 years that $25 an hour has compounded to $40. It can quickly become unsustainable unless you can scale the turnover of the business as well.

I was finding the goat, monkey and roosters today for $26.88 per oz for 20 oz rolls.

Saving is an important part of a well rounded investment strategy. It's not a "to the moon" investment but it has it's place.
