    Q&A with SS

A "Lunar" is a series of coin released by the Perth Mint. There are many coins in the series, both gold and silver: http://www.perthmint.com.au/search.aspx?SearchKeyword=lunar Personal opinion only here, but to me they're a numismatic coin, as opposed to a bullion coin. To explain further -...

HOW TO INVEST USD 13,000 IN SILVER

This was *exactly* what I was going to post, Boston has hit it 100% on the nose. You buy whatever it is your local market will recognise and buy without hesitation - here in Aus, Perth Mint, for USA, I would stick to Eagles and other well known, reputable items (which I am not sure what they...

Bank deposits tax planned for bailout fund

You can bet your shoes and socks there will be a clause in this system that will identify deposits not per account/institution, but per individual. You can also bet your shoes and socks that you will still pay the fee on all your deposits, even though (givem your example) you're only going to...

Earning interest in the bank during high inflation scenario?

I agree only if the entire fiat system remains undamaged (and incorporating the comments of others with regard to taxation on those earnings). If, on the other hand, the system becomes unstable and a Cyprus style "bail in" takes place, then your holdings in the bank partly, largely or fully...

Silver Stackers are either Dills or Scam Artists

I may well be at the point in time in my life where I care not what other people think (and yes, I know the spirit of humor in which this thread was posted). However, my outlook is simple. I'll continue to stack PM's, not just of the silver variety, and we'll see who ends up laughing last, eh? ;)

Silver Stackers current sentiment about silver

What if Germany's gold has all been leased out ?

I've said just the same previously. The *ONLY* reason you would take 7 years, and refuse inspection of someone's gold is simply that you don't have it any more. Remember, in any puzzle, it's usually the simplest/most obvious answer that's the correct one.

Thanks Daniel, and dang, that dates back a bit further than I looked. Apologies for the thread, and thanks for pointing out the original!

Bail-In provisions coming to a bank near you?

Interesting article I stumbled upon today: http://news.goldseek.com/GoldSeek/1373643545.php According to my reading, this article gives an outline of the potential for bail-in processes to be ratified in the Australian budget, would be interesting to hear other's opinions on this (and...

Plans to back up paper money going on?

Right enough, Sammy - but for me - personally speaking, whilst I'm happy to stack PM's until the cows come home, it would be nice to spread things out a bit, not have all the eggs in one basket so to speak. Not that I think you can go too far wrong with PM's, mind you, but I also figure, we...

Plans to back up paper money going on?

Interesting question, and one that has been in the back of my mind too. Whilst I can easily formulate the opinions I have above, sadly, that area of "doing stuff" is a bit of a closed book to me. I would suspect there will be several solutions - feasibly one of them may be as simple as...

Plans to back up paper money going on?

In a word - no. At least, not from the West, and not "in conjunction" with Nesara. It's my considered belief that the US holds little to no gold, having leased it all out. Considering this in light of the reserves the East, particularly China has, I would seriously doubt the US would be...

Short term (6 months) for silver prices? $13 or $30 ?

Another 2 months of depressed prices, perhaps a slightly lower price at times than we have right now. Come the September, I see a slow but steady increase in price for the remainder of 2013, with a view to ending up the year somewhere from $23 to $25 (USD).

I think if selling frequently incurs a fee, that is fair enough, for sure. Anywhere else you want to put a sale will make a charge for doing that. Perhaps it might be the case that anyone is able to post sporadic sale threads, up to a maximum of 1 sale per week. Paid-up members may be allowed...

USA Bank accounts with NO FEES for incoming bank wires

There's your problem (in bold). If you wanted to wire funds from one Australian bank account to another, I suspect you'd be in for some fees as well. The reason it's "free" here I suspect is that you're comparing this to something similar to a BPAY/Pay Anyone online banking transfer?

    Comments invited for this hypothesis

Right, but individual reporting for tax (as far as I know) is April 15... near 10 months away. Bit early for this type of shenanigans, perhaps?
