    Who's buying before the deadline?

I find that ALL in is easier said than done when actually in the middle of a falling and weak market. So I am making a steady series of purchases with occasional splurges when there is a fall.

    Who's buying before the deadline?

Yes I am sitting on an order right now, hovering over the Confirm Purchase button, but lacking a bit of confidence in market direction. The market constantly defies my logical analysis. I have no idea what it will do. Of course in the long-run things should be very strong for precious metals...

    WTF Just Happened!!!

I wish to apologise to the Silver Stacker community for what happened. Yesterday I purchased some silver. I tried to keep things quiet, but news of my buying leaked out a few hours ago. The rest is history, as you see in the charts. I am really sorry, stackers... Agnostic

Best Silver for Australian Currency Collapse?

How do you think people will go distinguishing between pre and post 46? Many people like simple solutions.

Best Silver for Australian Currency Collapse?

Yes I agree that our global economies are more linked that many suspect; and one large country failing would take many others down with it. So in that situation, what silver would you suggest would be handy to have jingling in our fatigues pockets?

Best Silver for Australian Currency Collapse?

Yes that is one possible scenario; however there is another scenario where there is hyperinflation but not mobs in the streets. Businesses are still operating; however prices are increasing rapidly and people start to lose faith in the currency. Gradually they start investigating alternative...

Best Silver for Australian Currency Collapse?

[Apologies in advance if this has been asked before] We stack for a range of reasons, and one reason for me is to have some tradable money in the event of a total currency collapse. The scenario I am talking about is if there is a total loss of confidence in the Australian dollar, perhaps due...

Banking Holiday in Panama Announced today

OK maybe it is simply a technology upgrade for one bank, rather than a precursor to bail-in?

Banking Holiday in Panama Announced today

Just an agnostic query here ok... I did a google search on "panama bank holiday" and the only article describing it is the article pasted in this thread, there are no other supporting articles. Can anyone else confirm there is a Panama bank holiday as described?

    Perth Mint to be Sold?

Just noticed an article on page 5 of today's Sunday Times. After general discussion about Colin Barnett's premiership and the recent credit rating downgrade, there is a list of State assets that might be sold. And the Perth Mint tops the list... ----- FOR SALE? By Political Editor Joe...

So we have socialism with statues versus socialism with squandering?

WA loses AAA credit rating - higher taxes ahead

Thanks for sharing the link. The credit downgrade is a natural consequence of the massive debt binge of the Barnett government. I was amazed at the last election that it was a non-issue.

    Centrelink system does'nt work.

I see the theme as sense of entitlement versus individual responsibility.

    Centrelink system does'nt work.

Yes of course I mean theft from working people. Surely you already picked up that theme from my post, eg barrel of the gun comments? I just didn't want the entire post to be negative.

    Centrelink system does'nt work.

After being on Centrelink payments - we are lucky to live in a country with such material abundance that these payments exist. Many countries have nothing. ...for a few months = the market is sending you a message, your skills are not employable where you live, its time to move. ...doesn't pay...
