Does anyone here have any knowledge about the value of the 2014 India Half Sovereign? Apparently it was the first year the Royal Mint released a half sovereign with the "I" mint mark.

India has come out with a new Tola coin this year. Link: http://thetola.com/ I love the shape as it reminds me of old Indian coinage (except this one isn't legal tender). It seems to be available only in India for now.

For what it's worth, they've also stopped minting the 1/4 oz gold Queen's Beasts coin, after stating that it would have an unlimited mintage. I, for one, will not be buying the rest in the series because, the way I see it, this is a cheap ploy enabling the Royal Mint to artificially increase...

Hi guys, just to be clear, does one have to pay GST if ordering a single Sovereign coin from overseas? The value is obviously less than AUD 1000, but the gold content is less than 99.5% which is why I am asking for a clarification. Thanks!

Just resurrecting this thread since I have a couple questions I thought I might ask here: 1. If I buy a bullion coin from the UK Royal Mint that is less than AUD 1,000, let's say the 1/4 oz queen's beasts (value GBP 310), will I have to pay any additional GST or fees here? I assume no GST, but...

I think you're making a mistake... The 2909 figure includes the 700 that were sold without packaging. Hence why the total proof count is 3909 - it is made up of the 2909 plus the 1000 first strikes.

Sorry if this sounds dumb... What are the steps for ordering from a dealer like APMEX as far as filling the "import declaration form"? Does the seller ship and then the item gets stuck somewhere at customs? And how do you go about sending them the form and getting them to release the item? How...
