I am a sure that it is not sterling silver with the 999 fine silver written on it. maybe it is just plated? will have to take it over to my local coin dealer and get it checked out. Thanks for the thought :)

~Same same but different~ The coin on Worthpoint site seems to be different to my one. The words "BIG NOSE KATE" on the saloon dancers side is different compared to mine. The reverse side is the exact same as the "BIG NOSE KATE" coin though with the cowboys shooting etc. It has 999 fine...

I purchased this a while ago when i first started collecting Coins. I probably paid a bit too much for it but I liked the detail in this coin. Yes, it claims to be solid silver but haven't seen this coin anywhere else thus the Verification of authentication.

Not a huge fan of this series, i preferred the 6 coin series previous. Mainly due to the background art as opposed to the a plain pic of the birds.

2008 is my favorite one out of all that i have, closely followed by the 2004 "kissing pandas"

Yeah...Nah. i don't think this is good evidence. Its probably best to get a slice of both worlds though i prefer stacking physical.

The big companies want you to bail out now while prices are close too rock bottom. I only buy 4-6 ounces a month and its tangible money in which i use. in my case i will stick to my game plan and carry on buying, going long. the ounces i buy now will even out the cost that i bought them for...

Not the most reliable source and prob not the official mint but according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Silver_Panda there is 6,000,000 1 oz silver pandas in 2011 and 8,000,000 in 2012, 2013.
