    IT BEGINS !!

Look, probably a real story, but is probably not relevant to you and I and more about politics and vested interests in banking. Having been around crypto 5 or 6 years the amount of misinformation and hollow threats, particularly on bans, never ceases to amaze. You're definitely right about...

    IT BEGINS !!

Thanks for the article @jultorsk But I genuinely wonder whether that story is a simple copy and paste from early 2013. The first crash in 2013 was because of banks refusing deposits. Today not accepting deposits from crypto would put HSBC well into the minority and probably hurt their own...

    IT BEGINS !!

Google trends just confirms other fundamentals like empty mempool* ie. 2017 was retail with $1000 and 2021 is institutions with $1m Not sure if that's good or bad for bitcoin in the long term, but in the short term $100k per BTC has become one of the more conservative forecasts. *also growth...

    2020 Collapse

Seems to me too much blind faith in Tesla. The largest vehicle company in the world by capitalization has never earned a cent from selling vehicles. Their earnings come from selling federal and state subsidies. Maybe not surprising since many cars has so much assistance they are already self...

    IT BEGINS !!

I'm taking small profits but this time is definitely different, most people are expecting a crash, which is why it might not happen like 2013x2 /2017 Morgan Stanley disclosed they indirectly own US $300M bitcoin. I'm expecting a fair bit more bullish news like that. Bitcoin hasn't really hit...

    2020 Collapse

Kinda wondering if Tesla isn't the catalyst for collapse. People ploughing their life savings into an obvious bubble. When it does collapse will shake the market more than any Dot com or Enron.

    IT BEGINS !!

I'm selling a few satoshis every few days. My bitcoin balance is stiil rising at a rapid rate. I'm buying less risky investments and other useless fun shit. Bought some metals on Monday or Tues which looks pretty stupid with hindsight.

USD probably double bottoms, signs of future deflation, 2020 was all about BS stories and silver didn't have one to tell.

    IT BEGINS !!

Kinda crazy but I reckon $100k is possible this year. Other faith based alternatives are doing similar so why not BTC that has a better post-covid story and doesn't even have to pretend that earnings matter.

Ancient Coins - Where to look??

It would seem that literally tons of silver coins were submitted to NGC Ancients in 2020. Seen both in US and Australia, dealers and smaller shops probably bought these not knowing how large the supply in fact was and now they are stuck with them.

2021 Silver American Eagle "emergency production" vs non-emergency production

Personally I've never seen the point of slabbing MS coins that were never circulated. Following the V75 privy, I suppose this will become a thing. Australians and British are probably sick of privy marks but US hasn't been done that path for a while.

    Good time to buy Silver?

Kookaburra carry a little more premiums. The Australian equiv of Britannias is Kangaroos. If you are UK, silver is simply not worth your time. You have to pay VAT and capital gains and tariffs from EU as at Jan 1.

    eBay bargains thread

Seems a lot of cheap gold on eBay this morning. Legit looking sellers. There's even a 50 peso (1.1oz) for $1000. I wouldn't touch it but possibly a real but retarded seller.

    Good time to buy Silver?

Strange things happening in silver. I picked up new kooks recently at about the same price per ounce as dealers are offering kilos. Probably a combination of dealers charging almost double last years premiums (truer for gold) and retail stackers being lured by cryptos.

    IT BEGINS !!

The guy who did the rainbow chart (cant remember his name) also pointed out that BTC price has been adjusting more closely to M2 oversupply than gold has been.

2021 Silver American Eagle "emergency production" vs non-emergency production

Correct me wrong but no ASEs were mintmarked so only graders could slab with correct mints if they received the sealed monster boxes direct from each mint. Boon for graders. Also boon for graders to change design horses mid stream and create false impression of scarcity. Australian, Mexican, US...

WTB 1/10oz gold PM Lunar series III (12 coin wooden box)

Often a crapshoot with eBay categories and GST. The german coin category might be GST exempt. Often collectibles can be GST exempt if under bullion, bullion can have 10% off coupons if under collectibles etc

    IT BEGINS !!

Hasn't really mattered what you bought since 2018 or 2019. Actually the only challenge has been to lose money. Gold started picking up, repo markets spluttered, then covid, then... probably people feel safe enough to spend highest ever savings rates and inflation.

    IT BEGINS !!

As a percentage its hardly a blip. Look at BTC price on a log chart. My current thinking (subject to change if events change) is BTC will go sideways in January. ETH will pump until people start front selling the futures market. Altcoins will be very volatile e.g. sometime in the next week I...
