    thought id introduce myself

Welcome :) IMHO, Gold and Silver is a fantastic way to save. Especially if you like spending your cash ( fiat ) ..... Think of it this way..... Not only do you get the thrill of the purchase, but you get something that actually has value. Better than spending your cash on disposable items that...

China vs USA: And Oz in the middle.

Yea, I feel there are going to be some interesting fiscal responses in the next 12-18 months. The right will want to give cash/tax breaks to top/business, and the left to the bottom /workers. We know the former has been relatively ineffective ( even counterproductive) , but how the later is...

    $28.00 Silver.

Imagine my shock. And I was shocked, when I received this price alert yesterday. Thought a war had broken out. Assuming a glitch in the system.

Big Down for Gold and Silver Overnight

Don't get me wrong, I still have a love of charts. Nothing gets me excited like a good head....and shoulders.... Lol. George Soros wrote a fantastic book in the 80's called the Alchemy of Finance, based on the theory of reflexivity. Basically an examination of the impact of human emotions on...

Big Down for Gold and Silver Overnight

No offence to the Chartist movement, as I was once one of them and successfully so. But all trading is now run from news algorithms.... That's why Trumps tweets have such an impact. Charts were once self fulfilling prophecies.... But no longer.

Big Down for Gold and Silver Overnight

Honestly I think we'll see it trend lower. Between now and the 2020 US election, I'm guessing, there will be trade deals announced, rate cuts and even the suggestion of QE. All of which will drive up confidence and the markets. Then when Trump gets re-elected...... The wheels fall off. Just a...

Trying to argue with people who don't believe in the "collapse"

No, I didn't miss your point. I'm well aware that the cost of these programs has already been factored into the price of the goods / services. If anything, I should be upset that people like yourself, are inflating the cost of my groceries..........;)

Trying to argue with people who don't believe in the "collapse"

More than happy to get a punch or two :D. Remember, no such thing as a free lunch. Edit : Not that this, linked story, has anything to do with why I don't use one. https://thenewdaily.com.au/money/finance-news/2018/03/19/wesfarmers-flybuys-coles/

Trying to argue with people who don't believe in the "collapse"

Yea, they always consider them fully drawn. Because, technically, you could walk out of the loan meeting and go spend the whole balance. If you see what I mean.

Trying to argue with people who don't believe in the "collapse"

No, haven't had a Credit Card since the first experience. And neither does my better half. Whenever I travel, I prepay for everything. Via booking.com ect. Same goes for rental cars ect. I simply pay online. I have actually been asked before, and I simply say nope. They look at me like I'm an...

Trying to argue with people who don't believe in the "collapse"

Wow, I'd forgotten about that gem of advice. And in my case it actually came from my mother. Get a small loan she said, pay it off, and that will help your credit rating for the future....... This actually turned out to be some of the best financial advice I'd ever been given o_O I get a $1000...

Trying to argue with people who don't believe in the "collapse"

Just personally ( I can't speak for TreasureHunter) I am expecting a major economic downturn, as are a lot of people. Will the world end?, of course not. And as I currently rely on the construction industry, I am preparing for the worst ( no income , or a greatly reduced income, at best ).
