    Perth XRF machine?

ABC Bullion have a XRF at their Perth office Level 3, 40 St Georges Terrace but right now we are getting hit hard with buyers that they won't have time to just check coins, any other time would be OK.

March 2020 - is this the best time to stack silver? Or gold? your thoughts?

If you are saving for a house, doing so in gold will let you keep up with house prices, compared to just saving cash which isn't paying anything these days.

March 2020 - is this the best time to stack silver? Or gold? your thoughts?

I would second this. If you are young, every dollar spent on metals is a dollar that you are going to be paying interest on for the next 20-30 years of your mortgage. When interest rates are low maybe gold will increase in price greater than that, but who knows what interest rates will do for...

PMGOLD - Pros and cons of trading this product!

ABC Bullion's online account is open 24/7 and you can trade up to $100,000 per order.

PMGOLD - Pros and cons of trading this product!

PMGOLD is basically Perth Mint's unallocated in an ETF form, if you don't like unallocated then you wouldn't like PMGOLD. While it has a market maker to ensure a fair bid and ask, the spread they work on is wider than that for GOLD, but GOLD has a 0.40% management fee. If you are a short-term...

DNWO - Digital New World Order?

I mean waste away in terms of usage, not value (although that continues unabated). A central bank digital currency has big implications for banks, as most mainstream investors holding cash would probably switch - why hold cash at a bank subject to $250k bank guarantee when you can hold directly...

DNWO - Digital New World Order?

I think so, but as we see with the $10,000 cash ban and consumer preferences for cards and the like, cash will waste away.

DNWO - Digital New World Order?

One of the topics I'm covering in today's market update for ABC Bullion. Central bankers are keen to become more central to the financial system, I think a digital currency is inevitable.

    To repatriate Gold overseas?

Just sell what you need. To sell more you just lose on the buy/sell spread. Arguably Australia is now your "offshore" storage location and safer than Europe so why hold gold there?

Nervous about transporting gold / silver internationally by plane.

I just had someone post a comment on my blog post on this issue noting that https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about-us/what-we-do/travelsecure/carry-on-baggage/items-you-cant-take-on-plane says Blunt items that are able to be used to bludgeon or threaten to bludgeon a person pieces of wood, metal...

There will be a shortage of Perth Mint Silver Bars for a while!

Given ABC Refinery "now refines around 70% of the available [silver] in the country" (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/abc-refinery-new-emerging-force-australian-precious-metal-alexander/) we don't have any problem with supply.

Germany Gold and Silver ahead of the cash ban down to 2k

Just to be clear, I'm not ruling out tightening up on gold transactions, just that while gold is fringe I don't think it is on AUSTRAC or govt radar - they have the banks crappy AML to focus on and the $10k cash thing. However, in the next bull market if we see lots of media coverage of gold...

Germany Gold and Silver ahead of the cash ban down to 2k

I'm pretty sure the $5k is a regulation not law, so AUSTRAC's remit. Part IV is not related to that, and note that all that has to happen is for an un suspension to be done by the GG, not Treasurer and no need for unrepeal or any debate in the house. See...

Germany Gold and Silver ahead of the cash ban down to 2k

$5k down to $2k I don't think would make much diference, can't see AUSTRAC bothering
