    Canada Silver Maple Leafs

I guess it depends on which coins you are comparing and where (as in country) you are buying. A quick look at Aust, Canadian and USA sites shows Eagles appear to have a small premium compared to Kooks, Maples, Philharmonics and Kruggerands. Maples are within the price range of the other...

2020 Bear and Bull silver 1 oz coin

A different way of looking at this coin is, if it gets more people to buy silver - even if just an ounce or two occasionally - it’s a good thing for the metal, the industry and the Perth Mint. I agree though, if is a bit ho-hum looking.

    EUREKA ! I struck GOLD!

It’s been that way since the Norman conquest in 1066. I guess you can blame William the Conqueror. All gold, silver, coal and oil is property of the Crown Estate. Despite the name the CE is run by a Board appointed by the government.

American Eagle 2019 One Ounce Silver Enhanced Reverse Proof Coin

The coin is special because it is the first time the US Mint has released an encapsulated coin with a serial numbered Certificate of Authenticity. So, I suggest *not* opening the capsule and keeping the CoA in good condition. I believe grading services are offering to encapsulate the CoA. Also...

how to vote in the upcoming election .

Well, I’m not giving out personal details. The matter was complex and related to my military service and entitlements. CARO (Central Army Office Records) mucked up policy application and was being a pain in recognizing their error. So...as far as I am concerned this is not a vague reply. I had...

If you don't hold it, you don't own it......

If oil price plunges Russia will take an economic hit. Russia has made substantial loans to Venezuela. No doubt their loans will be repaid but, maybe not in the form and timeframe Putin wants.

Seller using my photo on eBay - should I let it slide?

Most (all?) digital cameras create 'exif' data as part of the photo capture process. I'm not sure what EBay would consider as proof of ownership but I would guess emailing them the original photo with exif data would suffice. You can search for exif data or use this link...

Sorry, you are incorrect, stars are not brighter than the Moon or Earth. The brightest visible star Sirius has a magnitude of -1.5. Magnitude is a logarithmic scale of \sqrt[5]{100}\approx 2.512. My apologies I am unable to insert the mathematical symbols. This scale is inverse, the lower the...

    Useless Trivial facts

On Earth the day is bright because incoming light is diffused through the atmosphere. In space or on the Moon there is no atmosphere to diffuse the light - but, it is just as bright. No flash is required to photograph an astronaut on a space walk or a lunar lander during descent because they are...
