    Options trading

Not sure if anyone will get anything from these posts but perhaps it might pay off for someone. the problem with owning gold or silver is that it doesn’t produce an income. But it’s fun to own. Shares are clearly a better investment because they appreciate in value and also pay an income -...

    Old gold coins wanted.

Repost. I’m looking to buy old (mostly) European gold coins. I’m preferably after pre-1915 to avoid restrikes, but anything that was or could have been in circulation would be great. If you have any that would want to sell, please PM and we can discuss prices. I am after bullion prices...

Disable commenting in trading posts over 6 months old?

IMO. Preventing comments causes no harm. But deleting the posts altogether would be like deleting history. We can learn from them - prices, fads, sources of goods etc. Deleting history never a good thing.

It’s all fun. Don’t stress about the comments. You will get used to the banter. A wise old man told me that!!

    Old European gold coins wanted

It has been 6 days since I have bought anything. The price of gold is plummeting. The price of Spam or whatever old people eat is skyrocketing. Someone must need money and have old coins for sale at spot price.

    RSC production set 99999

I think his way is smart. This website is filled with old men many of whom are probably now half senile and they are probably less likely to know the current price. He might snag a bargain.

FOR SALE ; 10oz silver bars x 3. NTR SCOTSDALE AND ENGELHARD $240 EACH

It was my warped sense of humour. I saw other people trying to buy on very old post’s yesterday and fell off my chair laughing when someone pointed out it was a 6 year old post. So I brought another old sale to the top to see what happened.

Hey. Sorry. I’ve taken this way off the topic which is the coins. Didn’t mean to say it was unfair. I want you to get the best price. The coins are brilliant and everything is good. Definitely no criticism of you from my end. As admin says the topic is closed. Just wanted to say that it was a...

[Auction] Multiple Vintage Items, Ends 25/9 @10am BNE Time

The postage is built into the price. The postage is not free. Let’s assume the intrinsic value of the coins is $375 each and postage costs the seller $15 per coin if posted separately. If the postage was not included someone might bid $370 per coin plus $15 combined postage ($5 for each coin...

[Auction] Multiple Vintage Items, Ends 25/9 @10am BNE Time

what I mean is that if someone buys the 3 sovs there is a saving on postage. But the postage is inbuilt so we end up paying the inbuilt cost 3 times even though it’s being sent in one parcel. I’d be able to bid more if the postage was separate. Anyway, I’m not meaning to be problematic, I’m just...
